Kanji

Akiyo Asaki
was a Tokyo councilwoman who committed suicide following allegations of petty theft. The circumstances of her death were initially thought to have been "mysterious." Asaki was notable in Tokyo for making comments critical of Soka Gakkai. Scandal and death In July 1995, she was accused of stealing a T-shirt from a clothing store. Asaki was never actually convicted of shoplifting, but Soka Gakkai claims that she was guilty, explaining, "In recent years, shoplifting by housewives has become a social issue." She offered a restaurant receipt as an alibi, but police discovered that it was forged. Several newsweeklies reported that the clothing store proprietor was a member of Soka Gakkai who could have invented the shoplifting charge. All of the newsweeklies were later sued for defamation for their reporting. On September 1, 1995, Asaki fell to her death from a sixth-story apartment building next to Higashi-Murayama Station. Akiyo Nishiura
(born August 8, 1983) is a Japanese professional mixed martial artist and kickboxer. Nishiura currently competes in MMA for the DREAM organization as a Featherweight and has also fought for Shooto, Cage Force, and DEEP. Mixed martial arts career DREAM After compiling a record of 9-3-1 in organizations such as Shooto and Cage Force, Nishiura made his promotional debut with DREAM on March 8, 2009 against Abel Cullum at ''DREAM 7'' in the opening round of the Featherweight Grand Prix, where he lost via unanimous decision. He returned at ''DREAM 14'' in May 2010 and was able to cause an upset by defeating Hideo Tokoro via technical knockout within the first round. Akiyo Noguchi
is a Japanese professional rock climber, sport climber and boulderer. She participates in both bouldering and lead climbing competitions. She is known for winning the IFSC Climbing World Cup in Bouldering four times. In her home country, she won Bouldering Japan Cup nine times consecutively from 2005 to 2014, which no other Japanese athlete has been able to match. She retired from competition climbing after competing and winning a bronze medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics. Biography Noguchi grew up on a cattle farm in the Ibaraki Prefecture. From a young age she would climb on buildings, trees and sometimes even on the cows. In 2000, when she was 11 years old, she tried a real climbing wall for the first time, during a holiday trip to Guam. Back at home she immediately joined a local climbing gym.
