Akira Rabelais
Vincent Akira Rabelais Carté is an American composer, poet, software programmer and experimental multimedia artist. He is most known for his 2004 record on Samadhi Sound, '' Spellewauerynsherde'', as well as his experimental audio processing software Argeïphontes Lyre, and his works which take inspiration from magic realism. Career and artistry Rabelais began his career on the record label Ritornell, until in 2004 when David Sylvian signed him to his record label Samadhi Sound. In 2004, Rabelais released his now cult classic record ''Spellewauerynsherde'' to critical acclaim on the label. The record reportedly samples traditional Icelandic a cappella lament songs. It was reissued on multiple vinyl editions for the first time by Boomkat Editions in 2017. In 2005, he was involved with tape manipulation on Björk's 'Bath', on her soundtrack for Matthew Barney's Drawing Restraint 9. South Texas
South Texas is a region of the U.S. state of Texas that lies roughly south of—and includes—San Antonio. The southern and western boundary is the Rio Grande, and to the east it is the Gulf of Mexico. The population of this region is about 4.96 million according to the 2017 census estimates. The southern portion of this region is often referred to as the Rio Grande Valley. The eastern portion along the Gulf of Mexico is also referred to as the Coastal Bend. Robin Rimbaud
Robin Rimbaud is an electronic musician who works under the name Scanner due to his use of cell phone and police scanners in live performance. He is also a member of the band Githead with Wire's Colin Newman and Malka Spigel and Max Franken from Minimal Compact. Rimbaud is also a writer and media critic, multi-media artist and record producer. He borrowed his stage name from the device he used in his early recordings, picking up indeterminate radio and mobile phone signals in the airwaves and using them as an instrument in his compositions.
