Akio Ishii (baseball)
is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder. He played for the Chunichi Dragons. He is currently the second team hitting coach for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball. Career Ishii was drafted out of Tokai University in the third round of the 1977 draft and has been a part of the Chunichi Dragons The are a professional baseball team based in Nagoya, the chief city in the Chūbu region of Japan. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). Tokai University
is a private non-sectarian higher education institution located in Tokyo, Japan. It was founded by Dr. Shigeyoshi Matsumae. It was accredited under Japan's old educational system in 1946 and under the new system in 1950. In 2008, Tokai University, Kyushu Tokai University, and Hokkaido Tokai University were consolidated and reorganized into Tokai University. In baseball, batting is the act of facing the opposing pitcher and trying to produce offense for one's team. A batter or hitter is a person whose turn it is to face the pitcher. The three main goals of batters are to become a baserunner, to drive runners home or to advance runners along the bases for others to drive home, but the techniques and strategies they use to do so vary. is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. As of April 1, 2017, the city had an estimated population of 44,132, with 17,473 households, and a population density of . The total area is . History The area of modern Miura has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Archaeologists have uncovered numerous remains from the Japanese paleolithic, Jōmon and Yayoi periods.
