Akin Osuntokun
Akin Osuntokun (born 24 November 1961) is a Nigerian political scientist, strategist, researcher, administrator, journalist and writer, with experience in media advocacy, policy research and implementation and political analysis. Akin Osuntokun was appointed as a Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo between 1999 and 2007. In 2011, Mr Akin Osuntokun became the Director of the Presidential Campaign of the People's Democratic Party in the 2011 general elections. Oba (ruler), Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; (''Ọjájá II'') (born 17 October 1974) is the 51st and current List of rulers of Ife, Ooni of Ife. Reuben Adeleye Abati (born 7 November 1965) is a Nigerian Journalist, Politician, Television Anchor and Newspaper Columnist. He was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Deputy Governorship candidate in Ogun State for the 2019 Gubernatorial election. Olusegun Rahman Mimiko ( yo, Olúṣẹ́gun Mímikò ; born 3 October 1954), is a Nigerian doctor and politician, he was the senatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party for Ondo Central District in the 2019 Senate elections. He served as the 16th, and fifth civilian, Governor of Ondo State, Nigeria, from February 2009 to February 2017. Afenifere
Afenifere was formed as a socio-cultural organization for the Yoruba people of Nigeria, with Chief Abraham Adesanya as its leader and Chief Bola Ige as deputy leader. Other founding members were Pa Onasanya, Chief Reuben Fasoranti, Adegbonmire, Okurounmu Femi, Ganiyu Dawodu, Olanihun Ajayi, Olu Falae, Adebayo Adefarati, Alhaji Adeyemo and Ayo Adebanjo. When the Alliance for Democracy (AD) political party was formed in 1998, it took the Afenifere agenda as its official manifesto. Olusegun Awolowo Jr. (born 27 September 1963), is a Nigerian lawyer, he was the executive director of Nigerian Export Promotion Council, from 2013 to 2021. He is the grandson of former Nigerian nationalist, socialist and statesman, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. Ooni Of Ife
The Ooni of Ile-Ife (Ọọ̀ni of Ilè-Ifẹ̀) is the traditional ruler of Ile-Ife and the spiritual head of the Yoruba people. The Ooni dynasty existed before the reign of Oduduwa which historians have argued to have been between the 7th-9th centuries A.D. After the demise of Oduduwa and Yoruba culture, Ogun’s loss of the throne, Oduduwa's support base dispersed out of Ifẹ, Ile-Ife. Another account but not in tandem with existing evidences states that Ogun purposely sent all Oduduwa's children on different journeys to effect Yoruba territory expansion. Bayo Onanuga (born 20 June 1957) is a Nigerian journalist. He co-founded ''TheNews Magazine'' and was appointed managing director of the News Agency of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari in May 2016. The Kiriji War, also known as the Ekiti–Parapo War, was a 16-year-long civil war between the subethnic kingdoms of the Yoruba people, specifically divided between the Western Yoruba, which was mainly the Ibadan and Oyo-speaking Yorubas, and the Eastern Yoruba, who were the Ekiti people, Ijesha, Ijebu people, and others.
