Akilah Hospital ( ar, مستشفى عاقلة) is one of the oldest most famous private List of hospitals in Jordan, hospitals in Jordan. It is located at Abdul-Monem Riad Street in Jabal Amman in Amman the capital city of Jordan. The hospital was founded by one of the most ancient doctors of Jordan, Dr. Ali Ismail Akilah in 1960. Akilah Institute
The Akilah Institute is a non-profit college for women in Kigali, Rwanda. It is the first college for women in the country. The institute offers three-year diplomas in entrepreneurship, hospitality management, and information systems. Akilah is accredited through Rwanda's Ministry of Education. History The Akilah Institute was founded in 2008 by Elizabeth Dearborn Hughes and Dave Hughes. Elizabeth Hughes moved to Rwanda after graduating from Vanderbilt University in 2006. After volunteering with several grassroots initiatives, she co-founded Amani Africa to provide scholarships to street children. Dave Hughes joined the program as a volunteer. The two strategized on ways to link Rwandan women with long-term employment opportunities. In 2008, they developed the model for Akilah Institute. Akilathirattu Ammanai ( ta, அகிலத்திரட்டு அம்மானை; ''akilam'' ("world"), ''thirattu'' ("collection"), ''ammanai'' ("ballad")), also called Thiru Edu ("venerable book"), is the main religious text of the Tamil belief system Ayyavazhi. The title is often abbreviated to Akilam or Akilathirattu. Akilam includes more than 15,000 verses and is the largest collection of Ammanai literature in Tamil as well as one of the largest works in Tamil constructed by a single author. Akilan
Akilandam, better known by his pen name Akilan, was an Indian writer and novelist who wrote in Tamil. He was attracted by Gandhian philosophy during his school days and he discontinued his college education at Pudukkottai to join the freedom struggle. Later, after Indian independence, he joined the Railway Mail Service, after which he joined the All India Radio and became a full-fledged writer. His stories began to appear mostly in small magazines. He was awarded the Sahitya Academy Award and the Jnanpith Award by the Government of India for his novels ''Vengayin Mainthan'' and ''Chitra Pavai'' in 1963 and 1975 respectively.
