Akihiro Hakumura
is a Japanese former professional baseball outfielder. He has played in his entire career with the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Career Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters selected Hakumura with the sixth selection in the 2013 Nippon Professional Baseball draft. On June 27, 2016, Hakumura made his NPB debut. On November 5, 2020, Hakumura announced his retirement. An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters
The are a Japanese professional baseball team based in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaidō. They compete in the Pacific League of Nippon Professional Baseball, playing the majority of their home games at ES CON Field Hokkaido. The Fighters also host a select number of regional home games in cities across Hokkaidō, including Hakodate, Asahikawa, Kushiro, and Obihiro. The team's name comes from its parent organization, Nippon Ham, a major Japanese food-processing company. or NPB is the highest level of baseball in Japan. Locally, it is often called , meaning ''Professional Baseball''. Outside Japan, it is often just referred to as "Japanese baseball". 2013 Nippon Professional Baseball Draft
The 2013 Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) Draft was held on October 24, , for the 49th time at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa to assign amateur baseball players to the NPB.
