Akhyar Nasution
Akhyar Nasution (born 21 July 1966) is an Indonesian politician who served as mayor of Medan between 2019 and 2021, mostly as an acting mayor to replace his predecessor Dzulmi Eldin. Biography Nasution was born on 21 July 1966 in Medan, and completed his basic education there. He studied engineering at the University of North Sumatra, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in 1996, and later a masters and a doctorate also from the same university. He initially began studying physics, but dropped out and briefly worked as a laboratory staff at a cooking oil factory before returning to his studies in 1988. Following his bachelors, he began working at a construction company as a designer and supervisor. In 1999, he was elected into Medan's city council as a PDI-P candidate until 2004. Dzulmi Eldin
Dzulmi Eldin (born July 4, 1960) is the mayor of Medan, North Sumatra. A graduate of Satyagama University's Masters program, he started his career in the government as a section chief in Deli Serdang Regency administration in 1992, before slowly rising in rank to become the city secretary of Medan by 2007. In 2010, he was elected as deputy mayor prior the removal of sitting mayor in 2013, after which he was elevated to the mayor rank. He ran in the 2015 local elections, managing to secure 340,406 votes (71.72%). Bobby Nasution
Muhammad Bobby Afif Nasution (born 5 July 1991) is an Indonesian businessman and politician who currently serves as the mayor of Medan. He is the son-in-law of President Joko Widodo. Early life Nasution was born on 5 July 1990 in Medan, North Sumatra, as the last of three siblings in a Batak family. His father Erwin Nasution had been the president director of state-owned plantations company PTPN IV. Nasution went to elementary school in Pontianak, West Kalimantan and middle and high schools in Bandar Lampung. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle ( id, Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan, PDI-P) is an Indonesian political party, and the party of the current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. The University of Sumatera Utara ( id, Universitas Sumatera Utara) or USU is a public university located in the city of Medan in North Sumatra, Indonesia.
