Akbez is a town in Hatay Province, Turkey Geography Akbez at is a town in Hassa district which itself is a part of Hatay Province. It is situated at the extreme north of the province where the road from Kilis Province intersects the main highway running from north to south. It is from Hassa. The population of the town was 9000 as of 2012. History Akbez township was established in 1972 by merging the two villages of Salmanuşağı and Nuhuşağı. During the early years of the Turkish Republic these villages were in the Province of Cebeli Bereket. Hatay Province
Hatay Province ( tr, Hatay ili, ) is the southernmost province of Turkey. It is situated almost entirely outside Anatolia, along the eastern coast of the Levantine Sea. The province borders Syria to its south and east, the Turkish province of Adana to the northwest, Osmaniye to the north, and Gaziantep to the northeast. It is partially in Çukurova, a large fertile plain along Cilicia. Eastern European Summer Time (EEST) is one of the names of the UTC+03:00 time zone, which is 3 hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. Kilis Province
Kilis Province ( tr, Kilis ili) is a province in southern Turkey, on the border with Syria. It used to be the southern part of the province of Gaziantep and was formed in 1994. The town of Kilis is home to around 67% of the inhabitants of the province; the other towns and villages are very small. History There is evidence of human occupation from 4,000 years ago, in the Middle Bronze Age.
