AKA (rapper)
Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (born 28 January 1988), known professionally as AKA, is a South African rapper. Born and raised in Cape Town, Forbes gained significance after releasing his single "Victory Lap" which was released from his debut studio album, ''Altar Ego'' (2011). Forbes continued his success by releasing studio albums which include '' Levels'' (2014), ''Touch My Blood'' (2018), Bhovamania (2020) and the collaborative album, '' Be Careful What You Wish For'' alongside Anatii (2017). In April 2020 Forbes alongside vodka brand ''Cruz'' launched the watermelon-flavoured drink with his initial on the bottles. Polynesian multihull terminology, such as "ama", "aka" and "vaka" (or "waka") are multihull terms that have been widely adopted beyond the South Pacific where these terms originated. Akan Language
Akan () is a Central Tano language and the principal native language of the Akan people of Ghana, spoken over much of the southern half of Ghana. About 80% of Ghana's population can speak Akan, and about 44% of Ghanaians are native speakers. It is also spoken in parts of Côte d'Ivoire. Four dialects have been developed as literary standards with distinct orthographies: Asante, Akuapem, Bono (collectively known as Twi), and Fante; which, despite being mutually intelligible, were inaccessible in written form to speakers of the other standards until the Akan Orthography Committee (AOC)'s development of a common Akan orthography in 1978, based mainly on Akuapem Twi. The American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) is a martial arts gym based in San Jose, California. It is one of the pioneering schools of mixed martial arts (MMA). Aka (tribe)
The Aka are Tribal group of people living in the East Kameng & West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, Popularly know as the Koro of East kameng and the Hrusso of West kameng District. Both the Koro-Hrusso aka have different linguistic practices otherwise basically identical culturally, and they both are considered by themselves to be part of the same tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. Their language belongs to the Tibeto-Burman family. Lifestyle For the convenience of administration, the Aka people elects a chief, who often acts the role of the village headman. Great Andamanese Languages
The Great Andamanese languages are a nearly extinct language family once spoken by the Great Andamanese peoples of the Andaman Islands in the Indian Ocean. History By the late 18th century, when the British first established a colonial presence on the Andaman islands, there were an estimated 5,000 Great Andamanese living on Great Andaman and surrounding islands, comprising 10 distinct tribes with distinct but closely related languages. From the 1860s onwards, the British established a penal colony on the islands, which led to the subsequent arrival of mainland settlers and indentured labourers, mainly from the Indian subcontinent. This coincided with the massive population reduction of the Andamanese due to outside diseases, to a low of 19 individuals in 1961. Aka Island
is an island in the Pacific Ocean and is part of the Kerama Islands group in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. The island is commonly known as Aka or Aka-shima and is located some 15 miles to the southwest of Okinawa Island. It has a subtropical climate and a population of approximately 330 people. Coral reefs and wildlife The water surrounding Aka-jima is supplied from the Kuroshio current. Healthy coral reefs, with a rich diversity of sea life, make the area a treasure trove for marine scientists, divers and snorkelers. Aka Arena, formerly known as Hønefoss Stadion, is a football stadium in Hønefoss, Norway, and is the home of former Norwegian top division, currently 3. divisjon club Hønefoss.
