The 19611/12 and 19613/14 Ajmer–Amritsar Express is an express train belonging to North Western Railway zone of Indian Railways that run between and in India. Background This line was announced on the 2006-07 Rail budget, by Lalu Prasad Yadav (Former Minister of Railways) as a Jaipur–Amritsar Express with bi-weekly frequency of both sets, having numbers of 19771/72 (1st set) & 19781/82 (2nd set) with termination at & . which it makes direct connectivity for state capital of Rajasthan & famous holy place of Punjab. Both sets were run till 23 February 2013 and thereafter 24 February 2013 it was extended to Ajmer Junction after the approval of North Western Railway for the demand of people of direct connectivity of both holy places and also the number of trains was changed to 19611/12 (1st set) & 19613/14 (2nd set). ICF Coach
The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) coach was a conventional passenger coach used on the majority of main-line trains in India. The design of the coach was developed by Integral Coach Factory, Perambur, Chennai, India in collaboration with the Swiss Car & Elevator Manufacturing Co, Schlieren, Switzerland in the 1950s. The design is also called the ''Schlieren design'' based on the location of the Swiss company. The 1st ICF coach had been flagged by then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 2 October 1955. The last ICF coach was flagged off by senior technician Shri Bhaskar P. in the presence of Railway Board Chairman Ashwani Lohani on 19 January 2018. Lalu Prasad Yadav (born 11 June 1948) is an Indian politician and president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He is a former List of Chief Ministers of Bihar, Chief Minister of Bihar (1990-1997), a former Ministry of Railways (India), Railway Minister of India (2004-2009), and a former Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, Member of Parliament (MP) of the Lok Sabha. He entered politics at Patna University as a student leader and in 1977 at the age of 29, was elected as the youngest member of the Lok Sabha for the Janata Party. He became the Chief Minister of Bihar in 1990. His party came to power in 2015 Bihar Legislative Assembly election in partnership with Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal (United), JD(U). Diesel Loco Shed, Abu Road is a motive power depot performing locomotive maintenance and repair facility for diesel locomotives of the Indian Railways, located at Abu Road railway station (ABR) in Abu Road city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is one of the two diesel loco sheds of the North Western Railway, the others being at Bhagat ki Kothi. History The diesel shed was commissioned on 26 October 1966. It was the biggest Metre Gauge diesel shed of Western Railway at that time with a holding of 112 YDM-4 Locomotives. With broad gauge conversion of Mahesana to Ajmer route, conversion of the shed to a broad gauge Shed with a holding of 60 locos was planned. The Indian locomotive class WDM-3A is a class of diesel–electric locomotive that was developed in 1993 by Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), Varanasi for Indian Railways. The model name stands for broad gauge (W), Diesel (D), Mixed traffic (M) engine, with 3300 horsepower (3A). The WDM-3A is a later classification of earlier WDM-2C. They entered service in 1994. A total of 143+ were built at ALCO and Banaras Locomotive Works between 1994 and 2003 with rest of the 1246 units being rebuilt from WDM-2 which made them the most numerous class of mainline diesel locomotive until the WDG-4. The WDM-3A is one of the most successful locomotives of Indian Railways serving both passenger and freight trains for over 26 years.
