Aishbagh Railway Station
Aishbagh railway station used to serve the 130 years old metre-gauge railway network, and used to act as a terminal for it. On 15 May 2016 the gauge conversion process started in which the Aishbagh-Sitapur-Lakhimpur-Mailani section is being upgraded to broad gauge A broad-gauge railway is a railway with a track gauge (the distance between the rails) broader than the used by standard-gauge railways. Aishbagh ( hi, ऐशबाग़, ur, ) is a locality in Lucknow, India. Basically it was an industrial area and there were lot of industries and factories available here namely Milkmade factory, PTC Industries LTD, and many more but in recent years it is also developing as a residential area and a number of residential projects are being run by LDA. Oudh and Rohilkhand Railway was an extensive railway network in the North India, mostly north of the Ganges, starting from Benares and subsequently up to Delhi.
