Pont-de-Loup ( wa, Pondlô) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Aiseau-Presles, located in the Hainaut Province, province of Hainaut, Belgium. The residents of Pont-de-Loup are referred to as "Lupipontain(e)." The village is officially a "lieu dit" ("named place") in the commune of Tourrettes-sur-Lou The village is best known for an annual religious festival in honor of Our Lady Del Manock. Our Lady of Manock is the subject of veneration for pilgrims hoping to invoke the saint's miraculous healing of deafness. Every year in August, a procession is held along with the feast day for the patron church of Saint-Clèt. The village is nestled in a bend of the River Sambre. Oignies Abbey
Oignies Abbey (french: Abbaye d'Oignies; originally Priory of St Nicolas d'Oignies) is a former Augustinian monastery in Aiseau-Presles, Wallonia. Established in 1187, it is situated on the banks of the Sambre River in Belgium. Origin In 1187, four brothers from Walcourt settled at Oignies, Three of the brothers, Gilles, Robert and John, were priests, while the fourth, Hugo, was a jeweller and metalworker. Several other men settled with them and they formed the community of St. Nicolas of Oignies, adopting the rule of St. Augustine. In 1192, St Nicolas of Oignies was officially recognized as a priory by the order of the Canons of St. Augustine. Gilles becomes the first prior, a position that he held for 41 years. The community built a church dedicated to St. Nicolas, which was consecrated in 1204. Following major alterations it was reconsecrated in 1226. Farciennes (; wa, Fårcene) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. On January 1, 2018, Farciennes had a total population of 11,247. The total area is 10.39 km2 which gives a population density of 1,083 inhabitants per km2. It is located on the entre-Sambre-et-Meuse in the periphery of Charleroi. Châtelet (; wa, Tcheslet) is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Hainaut, Belgium. It lies on the river Sambre. As of January 1, 2018, Châtelet had a total population of 36,101. The total area of the municipality is 27.03 km² which gives a population density of 1,336 inhabitants per km².
