Xi'an Metro
The Xi'an Metro, also known as the Xi'an Rail Transit, is a rapid transit system in the city of Xi'an and the neighbouring city of Xianyang, in Shaanxi province, China. The system has 8 lines in operation. Line 2 opened to the public on September 16, 2011. Line 1 began operation on September 15, 2013. Line 3 began operation after months of delay on November 8, 2016. Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is the main airport serving Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, as well as the whole Guanzhong area. Weicheng District () is a district of Xianyang, Shaanxi, China. The district is notable for a number of Zhou and Han era tombs. History The area belonged to the , also known as the state of Ying (), during the Shang dynasty. The Cheng state, which included northern portions of present-day Weicheng District, was settled by the descendants of sometime between 16th and 14th centuries BCE. Present-day was the site of a fief of the Cheng state. During the Zhou dynasty, King Wen oversaw the expansion of the dynasty to the west of the , into present-day Xianyang. Weiyang District
Weiyang District () is one of 11 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, Northwest China. It is located at northwest Xi'an, functioning as the new administrative centre of the city. Baqiao District () is one of 11 districts of the prefecture-level city of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi Province, Northwest China.
