Aeroport (Moscow Metro)
Aeroport (russian: Аэропо́рт, ) is a Moscow Metro station on the Zamoskvoretskaya Line. Its name, literally meaning ''airport'', owes to the nearby Khodynka Aerodrome, Moscow's first airport, no longer in operation. Now, there is a bus terminal (Goraerovokzal, ''Гораэровокзал'') which has regular service to Moscow's principal airports. Opened as part of the second stage on 11 September 1938, the station features a single-vault design. It was built using a cut-and cover method. Concrete segments of the vault were pre-cast and then lowered into the station. Architects B. Vilensky and V. Yershov applied the aviation theme to this big open station, in what is seen as some of the best examples of Soviet Art Deco architecture. The most noticeable design feature is the network of intersecting ribs that fan out across the vaulted ceiling. Airport (OC Transpo)
Airport (french: Aéroport) is an under construction O-Train rapid transit station. It will be located at the Ottawa Macdonald–Cartier International Airport in the south end of Ottawa. Estimated for completion in fall 2023, it will serve as the southern terminus of the three-stop Line 4. The airport is currently served by an OC Transpo bus stop. Service Route 97 is the only bus that services this stop. It is the southern terminus for this route. From Airport station, Route 97 continues northward and terminates at Hurdman station on the O-Train Confederation Line. After Fall 2023, Route 97 service to/from this station will be replaced by Line 4 train service to/from Greenboro station. R4 service will replace the bus route if Line 4 is delayed or out of service during regular hours. Airport Station (GCRTA)
Airport is a station on the RTA Red Line in Cleveland, Ohio. It is the western terminus of the Red Line and is located off the lower level below the middle of the baggage claim level of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. History The station opened on November 15, 1968 when the CTS Rapid Transit was extended four miles from West Park station, making Cleveland the first city in the Western Hemisphere to offer direct rapid transit service to its major airport. A $1.9-million renovation of the station was completed in May 1994. RTA has considered extending the Red Line beyond Hopkins Airport to Berea. Several different plans were considered in the late 1990s. One plan would have extended the Red Line from Hopkins Airport along Ohio State Route 237 past the I-X Center and into downtown Berea. Airport Station (MTR)
Airport is a rapid transit station on the of Hong Kong's MTR system. It serves the Hong Kong International Airport, and is integrated with the passenger terminal. It is also the westernmost railway station in Hong Kong. History The station was built at the same time as the new Hong Kong International Airport, constructed on a platform of reclaimed land in order to replace Kai Tak Airport in the urban core. In October 1993, the Airport Authority Hong Kong appointed Ove Arup and Partners to develop the concept design for the new airport's Ground Transportation Centre (GTC), which includes Airport station. Arup, Foster and Partners, and Anthony Ng Architects completed the detailed design of the GTC. Construction began in 1995. The main contractor was Nishimatsu Construction. Airport is an elevated rail station and southern terminus on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system, located at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. It is served by the Gold Line at all times, while the Red Line generally serves it all day until 8:30 PM on weekdays and 8:50 PM on weekends when there is no scheduled track maintenance. It features one of only two Ridestores, the only other one being at Five Points. The upper level consists of an island platform between two tracks, while the mezzanine contains the fare gates inside the airport terminal. Since all trains are northbound from here, the island platform is set up such that the "southbound" side is for Doraville (Gold Line) trains and the "northbound" side is for North Springs (Red Line) trains. Airport station is a rapid transit station in Boston, Massachusetts. It serves the MBTA Blue Line and the SL3 branch of the Silver Line. It is located in East Boston under the interchange between Interstate 90 and Massachusetts Route 1A. Airport station is a light rail station located at the Salt Lake City International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah, serviced by the Green Line of the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) TRAX system. The Green Line has service to West Valley City via Downtown Salt Lake City, and connects with the rest of the TRAX system, as well as UTA's ''FrontRunner'' commuter rail and S Line streetcar. Coinciding with the rebuilding of the airport's main terminal building, the station was moved a few hundred feet to the northwest, directly adjacent to the new terminal. Construction started in March 2020 and finished on October 25, 2021.
