Airport Police Division
The Airport Police Division (APD) is the airport police unit of the Singapore Police Force. It has jurisdiction and responsibility for the maintenance of law and order within Singapore Changi Airport, Seletar Airport, Changi Airfreight Centre and Airport Logistics Park of Singapore. The APD also administers the National Civil Aviation Security Programme, National Civil Aviation Security Training Programme, and National Civil Aviation Security Quality Control Programme. APD works closely with the government agencies such as the Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, and Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, as well as companies operating in or around the airport such as Changi Airport Group, airline operators, and ground handling agencies. Airport police units are a security police agency assigned to perform law enforcement functions at airports. Seletar Airport
Seletar Airport is a civilian international airport serving the north-east region of Singapore. It is located approximately northwest from Changi Airport, the country's main airport, and about north from the main commercial city-centre. The airfield was originally opened in 1928 as RAF Seletar, a military airbase of the British Royal Air Force (RAF). The base was handed back over to Singapore in 1971. The Government of Singapore intended for Seletar Airport and the surrounding areas to function as the operating aerodrome for their plan to expand Singapore's status as an industrial aviation hub, today known as the Seletar Aerospace Park. Changi () is a planning area located in the geographical region of Tanah Merah in the East Region of Singapore. Sharing borders with Pasir Ris and Tampines to the west, Changi Bay to the southeast, the South China Sea to the east and the Serangoon Harbour to the north. Changi, excluding the two water catchments and islands of Singapore, is the largest planning area by land size. Today, Changi is an aviation hub. Airport Logistics Park Singapore (ALPS) is an industrial park created to support activities related to trade and air cargo at Singapore Changi Airport. The park is a notable example of cooperation between the government of Singapore and local business leaders to increase the business competitiveness of the country. Paya Lebar Airport
The Paya Lebar Air Base is a military airbase of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) located at Airport Road in Paya Lebar, in the eastern region of Singapore. The airbase goes by the motto of ''Strength Through Readiness''. It was originally built in 1954 as ''Singapore International Airport'' to replace Kallang Airport; control of the airport was transferred to RSAF in 1980 when it was renamed Paya Lebar Air Base, following the relocation of the civilian airport to Changi.
