Airport (1993 Film)
''Airport'' is a 1993 Tamil-language action film directed by Joshi and written by S. N. Swamy. It features Sathyaraj in the main lead, along with Gautami. Unlike most movies of the time and genre, it has no music. It received positive reviews from the critics. Malayalam actor M. G. Soman played the main villain. Plot Captain Arjun is a pilot, who works in Indian Airlines, but only flies government planes. Once, a Union Minister calls him and tells him that his daughter, who has gone on a tour to the Pakistan border along with her friends, has been kidnapped by terrorists. The Minister asks him to bring his daughter safely, and Sathyaraj agrees to it. He flies a private helicopter to the border to bring her back, and he succeeds. Joshiy
Joshiy (born 18 July 1952) is an Indian film director and producer from Varkala in Kerala who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with ''Tiger Salim'' (1978) and has directed over 80 films. He has also directed a few Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. In the beginning of his career, he received national fame when he directed ''Dharm Aur Qanoon'' (1984) starring Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra, with Khanna in double roles. Jagannatha Varma
K. N. Jagannatha Varma (1 May 1939 – 20 December 2016) was an Indian actor who worked in Malayalam film and television industry. He was also a Kathakali artist. His son Manu Varma is also an artist and his son-in-law Viji Thampi is a film director. He acted in a number of Malayalam movies performing stereotypical roles of a senior police officer, judge or a priest. Some of his noted roles were in movies ''New Delhi'' (1987), Thanthram (1988), ''Lelam'' (1997) and ''Pathram'' (1999), all directed by Joshiy. Varma joined the Kerala Police Force in 1963, before getting active in movies. He retired from the Kerala Police as the Superintendent of Police.
