Airbus UK Broughton
Airbus UK Broughton Football Club ( cy, Clwb Pêl-droed Airbus DU Brychdyn) is a professional football club based in Broughton, Flintshire, Wales. They had their origins as the works team of the Airbus UK aerospace factory where the wings of the Airbus airliner are produced, and are consequently nicknamed ''The Wingmakers'' or ''The Planemakers''. The club was promoted to the Cymru Premier for the first time in 2004, and play at The Hollingsworth Group Stadium (previously known as The Airfield), Broughton (capacity 1,600, of which 500 are seated); however as their pitch could not be brought up to Cymru Premier standards in time following their promotion, for their first two games they shared Conwy United's ground. The Airfield
The Airfield, also known by its sponsored name as the Hollingsworth Group International Airfield, is a football stadium in Broughton, Flintshire, Wales. It is home to Airbus UK Broughton F.C., who play in the Cymru Premier. In 2014, the grass surface was replaced with a 3G synthetic pitch. History The Airfield is noted in Welsh football for having retractable floodlights due to the ground being located close to a working runway at Hawarden Airport. Steve Williams, chairman of the Football Association of Wales, stated that he wanted the Wales national football teams to play more international matches in north Wales. The Airfield was suggested as a location for friendlies. The Airfield, however, does not meet UEFA standards, meaning the only international ground in north Wales is the Racecourse Ground in Wrexham. Fotballklubben Haugesund (English: ''Football Club Haugesund''), usually referred to as FK Haugesund or FKH, is a professional Norway, Norwegian association football, football club from the city of Haugesund, Rogaland, Norway. FK Ventspils is a Latvian football club, based at Ventspils Olimpiskais Stadions in Ventspils city and is one of the most popular football clubs in the country.
