Air Castles
Air Castles was a British indie pop band, based in London, England, formed in 2008. History Air Castles started as the solo project of then 19-year-old Swedish-born singer-songwriter, Max Mansson. Produced by Magnus Lindberg of Cult Of Luna, the debut EP, ''Night and Day'', was released later that year on Mansson's own label Winter Hymns Records. ''The Guardian'' described the release as "spirited, piano driven melancholia...well worth hearing". The music magazine, ''Rock Sound'', labelled the debut effort "fantastic", and referred to it as "sublime crystalline indie ... that will appeal to fans of Jeniferever, Sigur Rós, Death Cab For Cutie and Band of Horses alike". Cult Of Luna
Cult of Luna is a Swedish heavy metal band from Umeå founded in 1998. They are known for post-metal music similar to the contemporary bands Neurosis and Isis. The band was signed to Earache Records in the early 2000s and released five albums, including the commercially successful albums ''Salvation'' (2004) and ''Somewhere Along the Highway'' (2006). Other Lives is an American indie rock band from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Stillwater, Oklahoma, United States. The band originally formed in 2004 as Kunek and released one album in 2006 under that name. Other Lives' self-titled album was released physically April 7, 2009 by TBD Records and digitally March 17, 2009. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Joey Waronker. Shout Out Louds
Shout Out Louds is a Swedish indie pop band from Stockholm. History Formed in Stockholm by childhood friends Adam Olenius (vocals), Ted Malmros (bass), and Carl von Arbin (guitars), Shout Out Louds found an international audience during the early 2000s with their peppy Swedish pop. The lineup began taking shape in 2001, with drummer Eric Edman and keyboardist Bebban Stenborg climbing aboard shortly thereafter. Shout Out Louds wasted little time writing songs, the first three of which formed the basis of their first demo tape. The music caught the ear of Filip Wilén, owner of Sweden's Bud Fox Recordings, and he quickly signed the group to his label. Peter Bjorn and John are a Swedish indie pop/rock band formed in Stockholm in 1999, named after the first names of the band's members: Peter Morén (vocals, guitar and harmonica), Björn Yttling (bass guitar, keyboards and vocals) and John Eriksson, known in his solo work as Hortlax Cobra (drums, percussion and vocals). The Pipettes were a British indie pop girl group formed in 2003 in Brighton by Robert "Monster Bobby" Barry. The group has released two albums, '' We Are The Pipettes'', and '' Earth vs. The Pipettes'' and released numerous singles to support it; the most successful being "Pull Shapes" which peaked at No. 26 in the UK Singles Chart. The group was active from 2003 to 2011. The group was originally composed of Julia Clarke-Lowes, Rose Elinor Dougall and Rebecca Stephens. Last Days Of April
Last Days of April is an indie pop band from Stockholm, Sweden. History Last Days of April formed in 1996. The band found some underground success with their first demo release. A full-length was issued in 1997, then an EP on Bad Taste Records in 1998. Their sophomore effort, ''Rainmaker'', was released in both Europe (on Bad Taste) and Japan (on Straight Up Records), and the group toured with The Promise Ring and The Bufferins in Europe. Their third full-length was produced by Pelle Gunnerfeldt and saw a release on Deep Elm Records in America, while their fourth was issued in the United States by Crank! Records.
