AirOShoot
AirOShoot is an invitational shooting competition held in Europe, but open to athletes of any nationality. Competitors qualify through a top-two finish at a participating European competition, or else by accumulating enough ranking points over the season to earn a quota spot. History AirOShoot was founded as a partnership between four 10 metre air competitions in Europe. The founding aims of this partnership were to cooperate in raising the profile of the European "B" airgun competitions, and to fill the gap between National and major International ( ISSF and ESC) competitions. In the longer term, it was also intended to provide resources and expertise for start-up competitions. The first Super Final was held in 2019. No finals were held in 2020, 2021 or 2022 due to travel restrictions and limited participation. Some events did not run in 2022 as it was not clear in 2021 when restrictions would be lifted. For the 2023 cycle the number of participating competitions grew to s ...

InterShoot
InterShoot is an annual international airgun shooting competition hosted in Den Haag in the Netherlands. It is run to ISSF standards but on a less formal basis than major sanctioned events, providing an opportunity for junior and development athletes to build match experience in an international setting. Events are contested for the 10 metre air rifle and 10 metre air pistol disciplines. History InterShoot was founded by Stek Geerts, with assistance from shooting figures across Europe. Geerts was looking for an opportunity for his athletes to compete at an international level and develop experience at a well run match. The event was envisaged as a place where juniors and development athletes in particular could compete, with matches run to ISSF standards but in a less formal atmosphere. This filled a gap between club and domestic competitions, and international competitions such as European Championships which were only open to athletes selected by their National Governing Bod ...

Shooting sports may involve both team and individual competition, and team performance is usually assessed by summing the scores of the individual team members. 10 Metre Air Rifle
10 metre air rifle (N.B. For "Meter" in this article – read "Metre") is an International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) shooting event, shot at a bullseye target over a distance of using a calibre air rifle with a maximum weight of . It is one of the ISSF-governed shooting sports included in the Summer Olympics since the 1984 Los Angeles Games. Shots are fired from the standing position only, as opposed to some other airgun disciplines such as for three positions (popular in the United States) or in disabled sports, which allows sitting and prone positions. Due to the low recoil of air guns and the need for stability, the shooter frequently adopts a deliberately lordotic and scoliotic posture, which allows the non-dominant elbow to be rested against the chest to support the forearm and improves the stability of the shooting stance. The use of specialized rigidly padded vest is allowed to prevent chronic back injury, which can be caused by prolonged asymmetric load on ...

10 Metre Air Pistol
The 10 meter air pistol is an Olympic shooting event governed by the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF). It is similar to 10 meter air rifle in that it is shot with 4.5 mm (or .177) caliber air guns at a distance of 10 metres (11 yards), and that the match consists of a qualification round of 60 competition shots within 75 minutes. If an Electronic Scoring System (EST) is not available, 15 minutes are added to the time limit. Competitors are allowed to shoot an unlimited amount of shots during the 15 minutes preparation and sighting time. Along with the 50 meter pistol, it is considered a precision shooting event. Thus, numerous shooters compete in both events. There are some restrictions on the pistol regarding its dimensions, weight and trigger pull weight. It must be operated by one hand only from a standing, unsupported position. The shooter decides his or her own tempo as long as the maximum time is not exceeded. After the qualification round ...

Shooting Competitions In Belgium
Shooting is the act or process of discharging a projectile from a ranged weapon (such as a gun, bow, crossbow, slingshot, or blowpipe). Even the acts of launching flame, artillery, darts, harpoons, grenades, rockets, and guided missiles can be considered acts of shooting. When using a firearm, the act of shooting is often called firing as it involves initiating a combustion (deflagration) of chemical propellants. Shooting can take place in a shooting range or in the field, in shooting sports, hunting, or in combat. The person involved in the shooting activity is called a shooter. A skilled, accurate shooter is a ''marksman'' or ''sharpshooter'', and a person's level of shooting proficiency is referred to as their ''marksmanship''. Competitive shooting Shooting has inspired competition, and in several countries rifle clubs started to form in the 19th century. Soon international shooting events evolved, including shooting at the Summer and Winter Olympics (from 1896) and ...
