Aiolikos
Aiolikos Football Club () is a Greek association football club, based in Mytilene. They currently play on the 6th group of Gamma Ethniki. History The club was established in 1975 after a merger of two local teams – Atlantas and Apollon. The name Aiolikos was inspired by the Aeolians, the name by which the Greek inhabitants of Lesbos and nearby Aeolis, Anatolia, have been known since antiquity. Incidentally, there was also a Greek football club called Aiolikos that was based in Smyrna ( Izmir), around 1890, which would often play matches against teams of visiting British sailors. With the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922), many of the Greek inhabitants of the region emigrated to Lesbos, taking their sporting traditions and clubs with them. In 1976, Aiolikos participated for first time in Lesbos Football Clubs Association Championship. 2021–22 Gamma Ethniki
The 2021-22 Gamma Ethniki is the 39th season since the official establishment of the championship in 1983, and the first after the reestablishment as the 3rd tier of the Greek Football. It will start on 23 October 2021. After the finish of the seven groups, the champion of each group will qualify for a playoff round, to determine which four teams will be promoted to 2022–23 Super League 2. 81 teams are divided into seven groups according to geographical criteria. Petros Michos
Petros Michos ( el, Πετρος Μίχος; born 17 February 1959) is a former Greek footballer that currently works as a manager. He started his career as a defender with Panetolikos but is better known for his many years with Olympiacos and the Greece national team in the 1980s. Club career Petros Michos was born on 17 February 1959 in Agrinio. He began his professional career with his local team Panetolikos in the 1975–76 season, making his debut in the Greek top division on 7 December 1975, two months before his 17th birthday. He played there for three seasons before moving to Olympiacos in 1978. He was seen at the time as one of the best central defenders in Greece and he had 10 successful seasons with the Piraeus team. Anestis Nastos ( el, Ανέστης Νάστος; born 28 April 1989) is a Greek professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Greek club Aiolikos. Early career Nastos started his career from the academies of Ilisiakos and he then signed for the seniors team. Mytilene Municipal Stadium
Mytilene Municipal Stadium ( el, Δημοτικό Στάδιο Μυτιλήνης) is a multi-use stadium in Mytilene, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Aiolikos. The stadium holds 3,000 people, all-seated. Nickname Stadium's nickname is Tarlas ( el, Ταρλάς), which is inspired by the old name of the settlement where the stadium is built. The word is originated from a Turkish word, which means tract or field. Information The stadium has five gates. It has also one big stand and track. The stand is separated in five sections, while there are 100 seats for VIP. In 2001 were put projectors and seats have been placed on all the stand.
