''Mum & Dad'' is a 2008 British horror film by director Steven Sheil. Its premiere was on 22 August 2008 during the London FrightFest Film Festival. One day later it was shown during the Fantasy Filmfest in Germany. The film is the directorial debut of Steven Sheil. Plot The film begins at Heathrow Airport, where a Polish immigrant named Lena Malley (Olga Fedori) is working a shift as a cleaner. While there, her colleague Birdie (Ainsley Howard) helps her to clean the toilets. The two begin to talk and Lena reveals that she lives alone and doesn't keep in touch with her family. Aynsley China Ltd. was a British manufacturer of bone china tableware, giftware and commemorative items. History The company was founded in 1775 by John Aynsley in Lane End, Longton, Staffordshire. In 1861 his grandson John Aynsley built the historic Portland Works on Sutherland Road, Longton, Staffordshire. The company's profitability made it a desirable acquisition. In June 1970 Spode put in a bid, this was then topped in July by Denbyware. Discussions then followed with Waterford Glass and a £1 million bid was agreed. John William Ainsley (30 June 1898 – 23 June 1976) was a British coal miner and Labour Party politician. He was the Member of Parliament for North West Durham from 1955 to 1964. Working life Ainsley was born on 30 June 1898, the son of John George Ainsley. Ainsley attended elementary school before enlisting in the Durham Light Infantry in 1916 to fight in the First World War. When he returned, he became a coal miner. He continued his education at evening classes and through correspondence courses. Local politics Ainsley joined the Labour Party and helped the party by acting as the agent running election campaigns. In 1942 he was appointed to Durham County Council (elections having been suspended during the war), where he specialised in education and became Chairman of the Education Committee; served on the council until 1956, including a term as Chair from 1953 to 1955, and as Alderman the following year. George Ainsley
George Edward Ainsley (15 April 1915 – April 1985) was an English professional footballer and football manager. Playing career George Ainsley,a centre forward, played for his local side South Shields St. Andrews before joining Sunderland in April 1932. He made his league debut on 6 May 1933 in a 1–1 draw away to Chelsea. He played three more times the following season, in games against Portsmouth, Stoke City and Manchester City, but failed to feature again for Sunderland. He left to join Bolton Wanderers in August 1936. In December the same year, after just seven league games for Bolton, Ainsley moved to Leeds United. He scored on his league debut (On 19 December against Sunderland) and scored twice in his second appearance (as Leeds beat Middlesbrough).
