Ain Saadeh
Ain Saadeh ( ar, عين سعادة, also spelled Ain Saadée and Ain Saade) is a suburb located northeast of the capital Beirut in Lebanon. Demography Ain Saade is a traditional Christian village located in the mountains of Lebanon overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, with approximately 10,000 residents and 2,000 voters. The village has several nurseries, schools, colleges, technical institutes, universities, and various amenities and facilities. The village in addition has a large range of active groups including the Legion Marie, Boy Scouts, sports clubs, etc., as well as several churches and an orphanage. Furthermore, the village has several industrial, commercial, residential and agriculture zones. Ain Saadeh is located about 10 kilometers away from Beirut at an altitude ranging from 200 to 700 meters above sea level. El Mansourieh ( ar, المنصورية translit. al-Manṣūriyyah) is a village in the Matn District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon. It is historically important because of the archaeological remains of a Roman aqueduct. Overview About 10 km east of Beirut, on a hilltop overseeing the capital, lies Mansourieh the gateway to Northern Matn. Etymology The name originates from the ar, منصور ( translit. Manṣūr) meaning victorious, presumably dating back to a battle between the Crusaders and the Arabs in which the latter emerged victorious. Beit Mery
Beit Mery ( ar, بيت مري ; also Beit Mer, Beir Meri) is a Lebanese town overlooking the capital Beirut. The town has been a summer mountain resort since the times of the Phoenicians and later the Romans. The name derives from Aramaic and means "The house of my Lord". On one of the three hills of Beit Mery (Southern end of town) along the Lebanon Western mountain range are the ruins of the old Phoenician and Roman temples that were erected in the same general area in what is now known as Deir El-Qala'a (دير القلعة). Brummana
Brummana ( ar, برمانا) is a town in the Matn District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate in Lebanon. It is located east of Beirut, overlooking the capital and the Mediterranean. Brummana has long been a summer destination for visitors and locals. It is also the green lung of the region, with many pine trees lining its streets. Roumieh
Roumieh is a village north-east of Beirut in Lebanon. Surrounded by pine-forested hills, Roumieh is a 10- or 15-minute drive from the coast. Roumieh is known as a pleasant, picturesque small mountain town with many gardens. Agriculture In addition to pine forests there are vineyards, fig orchards, olive groves and thyme grow in abundance. Fanar ( ar, الفنار translit. al-Fanar) is a village in the Matn District of the Mount Lebanon Governorate, Lebanon. It is situated in the heart of Lebanon, 7 km from Beirut and was previously called (Achrafieh El Fawqa) however the name Fanar was chosen since it had an important lighthouse. The town was known to have very few residents who were farmers and the area was almost entirely green until after the Lebanese civil war when many displaced families chose the area to live in and turned the small town into a city.
