"Ain't I" is a song by American rapper Yung L.A., released as his debut single on November 25, 2008 via Grand Hustle and Interscope Records. The song was intended to be the lead single from his then-debut album ''Futuristic Leland'', which was later shelved. The song, produced by B Franks, features guest appearances from his then-mentor Young Dro and Grand Hustle label-boss T.I., after the two remixed the song to release it commercially. Upon its release, the song reached number 47 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart, on March 28, 2009. The single is a remix of the original version, which features Grand Hustle label-mate Big Kuntry King. "Ain't I" was nominated for "Best Collaboration" at the BET Awards. Yung L
Christopher Omenye, professionally known as Yung L (pronounced Young L), is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. Early life Yung L was born and raised in Jos, Plateau state. His mother greatly influenced his decision to become a musician, first by introducing him to the church drummer, and later, to the church pianist (Meca-E of Square Records). They both taught him the rudimentary aspects of music and how to play certain instruments. He soon began playing the drums in church, and Secondary School. Jermaine Dupri Mauldin (born September 23, 1972) is an American rapper and record producer. Raised in Atlanta, Georgia as the son of Columbia Records executive Michael Mauldin, he began his career in music at the age of nine. He discovered the teen hip-hop duo Kris Kross in 1991. Ocean's 7 is an American musical collective composed of singer-songwriters, record producers, and rappers consisted of Jermaine Dupri, Bryan Michael-Cox, Johntá Austin, Usher, Nelly, Trey Songz, and Dupri's assistant Tyrone.
