Ai Miura
, is a Japanese female racing driver who currently races in Formula Regional Japanese Championship. Career Miura's single seater career began due to the influence of her father and brother. At the age of 12, she participated in a kart race for the first time and eventually won the championship. After that, she honed her skills in karting. At Osaka Sangyo University, where she studied Mechanical Engineering, she was one of the drivers of their solar car project, participating in the yearly FIA Solar Car Race at the Suzuka Circuit, taking several victories throughout the years. In 2011, she participated in Super FJ (Suzuka) with the support of Exedy in recognition of her success in karting. After graduating from university one year later, she became an employee of Exedy and participated in Formula Challenge Japan (FCJ) while enrolled in the public relations department of the company. Formula Regional Japanese Championship
The Formula Regional Japanese Championship is a Japan ese formula racing championship held under FIA Formula Regional car regulations. Announced by the Japan Automobile Federation on 26 December 2019, it was confirmed that K2 Planet, promoter of Super Taikyu Series, would organise the championship starting in the 2020 season. The top nine finishing drivers in the championship receive FIA Super License points. Car The championship utilizes a spec chassis for all competitors, this being the DOME F111/3 chassis. The car will be powered by a single-make 270hp turbo engine provided by Autotecnica. B-Max Racing Co., Ltd also known as B-Max Racing Team and B-Max Engineering is a race car builder and racing team headquartered in Ayase, Kanagawa. , literally "child's dream", is a Japanese racing car constructor involved mainly in open-wheel and sports car racing. History In 1965, Minoru Hayashi built his first racing car, a rebodied Honda S600 coupe. Belonging to Tojiro Ukiya, it was called the "Karasu" (crow in Japanese), due to its shape. Built on a small budget and in a short time, the Karasu emphasized weight reduction and aerodynamics using FRP materials. The car went on to win its debut race at the Suzuka Clubman Race, despite Hayashi having no experience in racecar construction. In 1966 he went on to build the "Macransa", a more extensively modified Honda S800, to compete at the Japanese Grand Prix. 2019 Japanese Formula 3 Championship
The Japanese Formula 3 Championship is the 41st Japanese Formula 3 Championship season. In August 2019, Japan Race Promotion, the series promoter, surrendered the right to organise a Japanese Formula 3 championship at the end of the season by choosing to deviate from the Formula Regional class and go to a Euroformula Open Championship-based formula, which will require the renaming of the series as Super Formula Lights from 2020 season onwards.
