In 2000, there were 637,786 people bearing this surname in South Korea, making it the 20th most common family name in the country, with roughly 2% of the country's population. Ahn Byeong-keun (born in Daegu, February 23, 1962) is a retired judoka from South Korea, who represented his native country at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Ahn Eak-tai
Ahn Eak-tai (, ; 5 December 1906 – 16 September 1965) was a South Korean classical composer and conductor. He conducted numerous major orchestras across Europe, including the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Rome Philharmonic Orchestra. Ahn composed "Aegukga", a song best known as the national anthem of South Korea, ''Korean Dance'', ''Nongae'', and the ''Symphonic Fantasy Korea''. His unpublished works, some of which have been discovered recently, include ''Poema Synfonic 'Mallorca'', ''Lo Pi Formentor'', and ''The Death of Emperor Gojong''. Ahn Cheol-soo ( ; born 26 February 1962) is a South Korean politician, medical doctor, businessperson, and software entrepreneur. He currently serves as a member of the National Assembly as part of the conservative People Power Party. Prior to his career in politics, Ahn founded AhnLab, Inc., an antivirus software company, in 1995. He was chairman of the board and Chief Learning Officer of AhnLab until September 2012, and remains the company's largest stakeholder. Prior to entering politics, Ahn served as dean of the Graduate School of Convergence Science and Technology at Seoul National University until September 2012. Kristie Hyerim Ahn (born June 15, 1992) is an American former professional tennis player. She has won seven singles titles and two doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. On 30 September 2019, she reached her best singles ranking of world No. 87. Her first appearance at a Grand Slam tournament was at the age of 16 at the 2008 US Open. Her research is focused on understanding the mechanisms of cell signaling, with a speciality in phosphorylation and cancers. Ralph Philander Ahn (September 28, 1926 – February 26, 2022) was an American actor. He was the last surviving son of leading Korean independence activist Dosan Ahn Chang-ho. Ahn (Luxembourgish: ''Ohn'') is a wine-growing village in the municipality of Wormeldange in the district and canton of Grevenmacher in the southwestern side of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. In 2005, the population is 208. The bottom part of the village lies along the Moselle River on National Route 10.
