Ahmed Sohel
Ahmed Sohel is a Justice of the High Court Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. Early life Sohel was born on 13 March 1972. His father was Justice Muhammad Ansar Ali of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. He did his undergrad and master's in Geography and Environment at the University of Dhaka. He did his law degree at the University of Wolverhampton and joined the Lincoln's Inn. He did a postgraduate diploma at the City, University of London in law. Career Sohel joined the Malik and Michael legal firm in England in 2002. He worked as a lawyer for the High Court Division and the Appellate Division of the Bangladesh Supreme Court. On 31 May 2018, Sohel was appointed an additional judge of the High Court Division. On 30 May 2020, Sohel was made a permanent judge of the High Court Division. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. Mohammed Shahabuddin (born 10 December 1949) is a Bangladeshi jurist, civil servant and politician who is the 22nd and current President of Bangladesh. He was elected unopposed in the 2023 presidential election in the nomination of the ruling Awami League. Prior to his presidency, he served as a district and sessions judge and a commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission from 2011 to 2016. Rapid Action Battalion or RAB, is an anti-crime and anti-terrorism unit of the Bangladesh Police. This elite force consists of members of the Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Civil Service and Bangladesh Ansar. Farah Mahbub (born 27 May 1966) is a Bangladeshi justice of the High Court Division. Early life and education Farah Mahbub's father, Mahbubur Rahman, is a senior advocate in the Supreme Court & former minister of Bangladesh. Farah Mahbub passed SSC from Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in 1983 and HSC from Holy Cross College in 1985.
