Ahmad Zohadi
Ahmad Zohadi ( fa, احمد زهادی) is an Iranian architecture scholar, publisher and researcher. Currently, he is the CEO and editor-in-chief of architectural magazine 2A Magazine. He is also the founder and chief editor of ''‘Architecture & Construction’'', a Persian quarterly magazine, published since 2003, and distributed in Iran. Early life Education Ahmad was born in Tehran. On completion of his primary and secondary education, he attended Karaj Islamic Azad University in the year 1992 for Civil & Structure Engineering. Simultaneously, he was editor and publisher of Tehran-based Architecture and Construction Magazine & 2A Magazine. Personal Ahmad has been known to show keen interest in photography right from his childhood. He got involved in architecture and construction after associating himself with architectural journalism. Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi
Balkrishna Vithaldas Doshi OAL (born 26 August 1927) is an Indian architect. He is considered to be an important figure of Indian architecture and noted for his contributions to the evolution of architectural discourse in India. Having worked under Le Corbusier and Louis Kahn, he is a pioneer of modernist and brutalist architecture in India. His more noteworthy designs include FLAME University, IIM Bangalore, IIM Udaipur, NIFT Delhi, Amdavad ni Gufa, CEPT University, and the Aranya Low Cost Housing development in Indore which was awarded the Aga Khan Award for Architecture. In 2018, he became the first Indian architect to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize, which is considered one of the most prestigious prizes in architecture. Traditionally, Iranian architects were known as ''Mi'mars''. The Persian dictionary of ''Mo'in'' defines Mi'mar as: #That who devises the design and plan of a building, and overlooks its construction. #A Banna #That who is responsible for the building, developing, and repairs of a structure or edifice (Emārat). Classical words ''Banna'', ''Mohandes'', ''Ostad'', and ''Amal'' which appear in classical manuals and references of Islamic architecture. Although many scholars do not recognize the Mimar and the Architect to historically be the same, they do agree that their responsibilities overlap extensively. In this list, they are taken to be the same. The list is in chronological order and selectively spans the Islamic age based on available records. Richard Levine (architect)
Richard Steven "Dick" Levine (born September 11, 1939) is an American natural environment, environmental architect, solar energy and sustainability pioneer, and professor at the University of Kentucky. He is one of the early solar energy innovators in the U.S., a holder of U.S. patents on structural systems and solar energy applications, and the architect of a number of award winning solar buildings including his widely published Raven Run Solar House (1974). Levine is co-director of the Center for Sustainable Cities at the University of Kentucky. His contributions to sustainable urban planning are in both the theory and practice of the sustainable city-region. Bahram Shirdel is an Iranian architect internationally known as one of the most influential architects dealing with the interdisciplinary field of architecture and science as well as Fold/Folding Architecture. Seung H-Sang () is a South Korean architect who studied at Seoul National University and Technische Universitaet in Wien. After working for Kim Swoo-geun from 1974 to 1989, he established his own office IROJE architects&planners in 1989. Sergei Tchoban (German: Sergej Tschoban; born 9 October 1962) is a German Architect and artist working in various cities in Europe. He is managing director of the architectural firm TCHOBAN VOSS Architekten and founder of the Tchoban Foundation, which has been based in the Museum for Architectural Drawing in Berlin, built for this purpose, since 2013.
