Ahmad Band is a rock band from Indonesia and the solo (or technically, non-Dewa 19) one-off project of lead member, Ahmad Dhani. The band consists of Andra Ramadhan (Dewa 19), Pay Burman (ex Slank), Bongky Marcel (The Flowers, ex Slank) and Bimo Sulaksono (Dewa 19, ex Netral). They released one album, '' Ideologi Sikap Otak'', in 1998(September 26, 1998). Dewa (band)
Dewa 19 (pronounced in Indonesian as ''Dewa Sembilan Belas'') is an Indonesian rock band from Surabaya, East Java. Along with God Bless and Slank, they are dubbed as one of the greatest rock bands in the history of Indonesian popular music. The band was formed in 1986. There have been a number of changes to the lineup and finally they were disbanded in 2011. Their last members lineup was: Ahmad Dhani (keyboard), Andra (guitar), Agung Yudha (drums), Yuke (bass guitar), and Once (vocals). The band currently consists of only four members remaining; Ahmad Dhani, Andra, Yuke & Agung. This group has achieved success throughout the 1990s with Ari Lasso's vocals and the 2000s with Once's vocals. Ahmad Dhani
Ahmad Dhani Prasetyo (born Dhani Ahmad Prasetyo; 26 May 1972), better known as Ahmad Dhani, Dhani Muhammad Prasetyo or Dhani S. Manaf, is an Indonesian musician. He was the frontman of Dewa 19 with his colleague Once Mekel as the co-lead singer, and Ahmad Band, and also a member of the inter-continental band The Rock. He is the owner and chairman of Republik Cinta Management. Dhani has worked as a promoter and songwriter for other artists, including Alexa Key and Mulan Jameela. He has won numerous awards including the Indonesian Music Awards for best musical arrangement. He is one of the most influential musicians in Southeast Asia. In recent years, he has generated controversy after his son killed seven people while driving illegally, and after becoming involved in politics. Slank
Slank is an Indonesian rock band. It was founded in 1983 by teenagers in an alley street in Jakarta called Gang Potlot. The band is also known for its song which are often accompanied with political and socially conscious lyrics. It continues to be active and has received many awards from the Indonesian music industry. History Early years Bimo Setiawan Almachzumi (Bimbim) created Cikini Stones Complex (CSC) in the early 1980s. The band covered Rolling Stones songs. In 1983 the band broke up. Ideologi Sikap Otak
''Ideologi Sikap Otak'' is a studio album by Ahmad Band and was released in 1998 in Indonesia. The title translates into "The Ideology of Brain Attitude". The album is considered Dewa 19 frontman Ahmad Dhani's solo project. The entire album was written by Dhani with the exception of one track, "Aku Cinta Kau dan Dia", which was co-written with Bebi. In the same year, the music video for the single "Distorsi" was nominated for a national video award, achieving the runner-up position. In 1999, Dhani with Dewa 19 and Ahmad Band guitarist Andra Ramadhan (professionally known as Andra or Andra R.) released a song for the film ''Kuldesak''. Deletion is a music industry term referring to the removal of a record or records from a label's official catalog, so that it is out of print, but usually at a record artist's request. Process Deletion can be for a variety of reasons, but usually reflects a decline in sales so that distributing the record is no longer profitable. Singles are routinely deleted after a period of weeks, but an album by a major artist may remain in the catalog indefinitely. When titles are deleted in the US, the remaining stock would be defaced with a cut-out through the sleeve or case. Cut-out records formed a grey market outside the major distribution channels.
