''Ahelepola Kumarihami'' ( si, italic=yes, ඇහැළේපොළ කුමාරිහාමි) colloquially as Ehelepola Kumarihami is a 2014 Sri Lankan Sinhala epic historical film directed by Sugath Samarakoon and produced by Gayan Ranadheera for Rupun Films. It stars Dulani Anuradha and Jackson Anthony in lead roles along with Sriyantha Mendis and Nadeeka Gunasekara. Music composed by Rohana Weerasinghe. It is the 1208th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film is about the tragic historic incidence, where the last king of Sri Lanka, King Sri Vickrama Rajasinha slaughtered the entire family of Ehelepola Nilame due to mistaken as a betrayer to the Kandyan Kingdom. Rajapaksa Wickramasekera Mudiyanselage Bandaranayake Monarawila Keppetipola ( Sinhala:රාජපක්ෂ වික්‍රමසේකර මුදියන්සේලාගේ බණ්ඩාරනායක මොනරවිල කැප්පැටිපොල), more widely known as Keppetipola Disawe was a Disawe, a high-ranking official under the rule of King Sri Wikrama Rajasinghe and later under the British Administration in Sri Lanka (then known as Ceylon). He was a prominent leader of the Uva rebellion of 1818 after he joined the rebels whom he was sent to suppress by the British. The rebellion was defeated by the British, and Keppetipola Disawe along with several other leaders of the rebellion were found guilty of high treason and sentenced to death. Considered one of the best villains in Sinhala cinema, Karunaratne acted in more than 240 films across many genres primarily as main antagonist. Madduma Bandara Ehelapola
Madduma Bandara Ehelapola (b 1806), mostly known as Madduma Bandara, was one of the national heroes of Sri Lanka. Bandara and his family were executed in 1814 by the King for treachery. His bravery at the time of his execution made him a legendary child hero in Sri Lanka. Early life Bandara was born in a prominent Sinhalese aristocratic family of the Kandy to Ehelepola Maha Disawe and Ehelepola Kumarihamy.
