Agustín Destribats
Agustín Alejandro Destribats (born October 30, 1997) is an Argentine freestyle wrestler who competes at 65 kilograms. He has represented Argentina at the 2020 Summer Olympics, at the 2023 Pan American Games, earning bronze, and the 2018 and 2022 editions of the South American Games, earning silver and gold respectively. A bronze medalist at the 2020 Individual World Cup, Destribats also claimed the gold medal in the 2025 edition of the Pan American Championships, where he is a five-time medalist. Career 2013–2019 Destribats started wrestling when he was nine years old in a local club that offered savate, capoeira, and wrestling. In 2013 he won the South American Youth Games in both, freestyle and Greco-Roman and in 2014 he won gold at the U17 Pan American Championships in freestyle. Wrestling At The 2023 Pan American Games
Wrestling competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile were held between November 1 and 4, 2023 at the Olympic Training Center in Ñuñoa. The competition is split into two disciplines, Freestyle wrestling, Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, Greco-Roman which were further divided into different weight categories. Men competed in both disciplines whereas women only took part in the freestyle events, with 18 gold medals awarded (12 for men and six for women). Amateur wrestling, Wrestling has been contested at every Pan American Games. Qualification A total of 168 wrestlers will qualify to compete at the games. Beach wrestling is a type of wrestling that is specifically played on a beach or in a similar sandy environment, and that has been officially held since 2005.
