Agradigun
Agradigun ( bn, আগ্রাদ্বিগুন) is a union parishad of Dhamoirhat Upazila in the District of Naogaon, Bangladesh. It is situated in the north-western part of the district town Naogaon next to the Indian border. It is around 18 km northern direction from Dhamoirhat Upazila. It has a small bazaar that provides every commodities to its surrounding people. Agradigun Union consists of 34 villages, which are subdivided into 23 mouzas and 5631 khanas. Dhamoirhat ( bn, ধামইরহাট) is an upazila of Naogaon District in the Division of Rajshahi Division, Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The main river of the Dhamoirhat Upazila is the Atrai River, Atrai. History During the War of Liberation, the Pak army had camped at places like Farsipara, Pagla Dewan, Rangamati, etc. A direct encounter between the Pak army and the freedom fighters were held at Piral Danga, Gangra, Kulfatpur and Rangamati with the heavy casualty on both sides. Naogaon District ( bn, নওগাঁ, Nôugã) is a district in northern Bangladesh, part of the Rajshahi Division. It is named after its headquarters, the city of Naogaon in Naogaon Sadar Upazila. Demographics According to the 2022 Census of Bangladesh, Naogaon District had a population of 2,784,598, of which 13,74,312 were males and 14,08,840 females. The rural population was 23,67,082 (85.01%) while the urban population was 4,16,243 (14.99%). Naogaon district had a literacy rate of 72.14% for the population 7 years and above: 74.66% for males and 69.70% for females. This is up from 44.39% in 2001 and 28.40% in 1991. Shihara Union
Shihara ( bn, শিহাড়া) is a Union Parishad of Patnitala Upazila in Naogaon District in the Division of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Economy Most of the people of this union depend on agriculture. Previously paddy was the main crop of this area. But the farmers faced financial loss in paddy cultivation so they started cultivating mango. Mango is currently the main crop in the region. Many types of mango like Amrapali, Bari-4, Langra, Fazli, Ashwina, Khirsapati etc. are cultivated in about 80% of the land. Farmers are now benefited by cultivating mango.
