Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski
Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski (), often referred to as Ostrowiec, is a city in southeastern Poland, in the historical region of Lesser Poland, with 66,258 residents (as of 2021). The town is one of historic centers of Polish industry and metallurgy, and was part of the Old-Polish Industrial Region, the oldest industrial basin of the country. Ostrowiec is the capital city of Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski County, part of Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship (since 1999), previously it belonged to Kielce Voivodeship (1975–1998). It received town charter in 1613. Ostrowiec lies on the Kamienna river. Its northern districts are located in the Iłża Foothills, while southern part belongs to the Opatów Upland. Świętokrzyskie Mountains lie a few kilometers away, southwest of Ostrowiec. Przemysław Sadowski (born March 18, 1975) is a Polish actor. Biography He was born in Hajnówka, but grew up in Białystok. He participated first degree music school in piano and guitar. Before he completed his studies in 1999 at the National Film School in Łódź, he debuted first on scene in the role as an Elf in a performance entitled ''A Midsummer Night's Dream'' in Stefan Jaracz's Theatre, which he participated between 1997 and 1999. A ( or (), () was a historical type of urban settlement similar to a market town in the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. After the partitions of Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth at the end of the 18th-century, these settlements became widespread in the Austrian, German and Russian Empires. The vast majority of ''miasteczkos'' had significant or even predominant Jewish populations; these are known in English under the Yiddish term ''shtetl''. ''Miasteczkos'' had a special administrative status other than that of town or city. The meaning "small town" is somewhat misleading, since some 19th-century shtetls, such as Berdichev or Bohuslav counted over 15,000 people.
