''Agent X-77 Orders to Kill'' (french: Baraka sur X 13, es, Operación Silencio, it, Agente X77 ordine di uccidere, also known as ''Baraka for Secret Service'') is a 1966 French-Spanish-Italian spy film directed by Maurice Cloche and starring Gérard Barray and Sylva Koscina. Silvio Siano is credited as co-director in the Italian version of the film (credited as "Edgar Lawson") due to co-production obligations. It is loosely based on the novel ''Silence clinique'' by Eddy Ghilain. Maurice Cloche (17 June 1907, Commercy, Meuse – 23 March 1990, Bordeaux, France) was a French film director, screenwriter, photographer and film producer. Best known for his Oscar-winning film ''Monsieur Vincent'' (1947) he won a 1948 Special Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. ''Monsieur Vincent,'' a dramatization of the life of St. Vincent de Paul that starred Pierre Fresnay, won the Academy Award in 1947 for best foreign film. It also was honored as the best film in France that year. Mr. Cloche, whose career spanned more than a half-century, also made spy thrillers and films with religious and social themes. His best-known films include ''La Cage aux Oiseaux'' (''The Bird Cage''); ''Le Docteur Laennec,'' the story of the inventor of the stethoscope; ''Ne de Pere Inconnu'' (''Father Unknown'') and ''La Cage aux Filles (''The Girl Cage''). Giacomo Matteo Furia (2 January 1925 – 5 June 2015) was an Italian film, television and stage actor. He appeared in more than 130 films between 1948 and 1998. Life and career Born in Arienzo, near Caserta, Furia started his acting career thanks to Eduardo De Filippo, he had met through an after-school summer job; he made his professional debut on stage in 1945, in De Filippo's "Napoli milionaria". He made his film debut three years later, in Mario Mattoli's '' Assunta Spina''; mainly cast in character roles, he was often a sidekick of Totò, notably landing a major role in ''The Band of Honest Men''. His credits include films directed by Federico Fellini, Vittorio De Sica, Roberto Rossellini and Francesco Rosi.
