Agent Fresco
Agent Fresco are an Icelandic band that combines pop, alternative, art, metal, and math rock. They formed in 2008, just weeks prior to winning the M%C3%BAs%C3%ADktilraunir. Their first release was the EP ''Lightbulb Universe'', which won at the Kraumur Awards. The lead singer is Arnór Dan Arnarson. Vignir Rafn Hilmarsson plays bass guitar as well as the electric upright bass, Hrafnkell Örn Guðjónsson plays the drums, and Þórarinn Guðnason plays the guitar and piano/keyboards. In late 2010, Agent Fresco released their first full-length album, '' A Long Time Listening''. '' Destrier'', their second full-length album, followed on 7 August 2015. Awards Agent Fresco won a Kraumur Award for their debut EP ''Lightbulb Universe''. In 2009 they were named best new artist at the Icelandic Music Awards. Ólafur Arnalds (; born 3 November 1986) is an Icelandic multi-instrumentalist and producer from Mosfellsbær, Iceland. He mixes strings and piano with loops and beats, a sound ranging from ambient/electronic to atmospheric pop. He is also the former drummer for hardcore and metal bands Fighting Shit, Celestine, and others. In 2009, Ólafur also formed an experimental techno project, entitled Kiasmos, with Janus Rasmussen from the Icelandic electro-pop band Bloodgroup, announcing his electronic debut album in 2014. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Kraumur Awards is a music prize, organized by the Kraumur Music Fund, awarded for the best albums being released in Iceland. The nominations for the first Kraumur Awards were announced in November 2008. Nominations and the award-winning albums are chosen by a selected panel of Icelandic music journalist and radio show hosts, with years of experience in playing and writing about Icelandic music. The Kraumur Award usually goes to six albums, while 20 albums are nominated. The panel can add albums to the award category, which led to six albums in the first year and seven albums receiving the Kraumur award in 2013.
