Sparrow Records is a Christian music record label and a division of Universal Music Group. History Sparrow Records was founded in 1976 by Billy Ray Hearn, then artists and repertoire (A&R) director at Myrrh Records. Purchased by Thorn EMI in 1992, Sparrow's parent underwent a demerger four years later to become the EMI Group, and the label is now part of the Capitol Christian Music Group. A Dove Award is an accolade by the Gospel Music Association (GMA) of the United States to recognize outstanding achievement in the Christian music industry. The awards are presented annually. ''Ants'hillvania'' is a Sparrow Records production that was written by Jimmy and Carol Owens with Cherry Boone O'Neil and produced by Dan Collins. It is well known for being full of "Ant" puns. It was nominated for a Grammy Award for '' Best Album for Children'' for the Grammy Awards of 1981. It uses the '' Bible's'' " Parable of the Sower" and " Parable of the Prodigal Son" to tell the story of a colony of ants and the misadventures of a particular ant named Antony.
