''Against All Odds'' is the second studio album by English hip hop group N-Dubz. It was released in Ireland on 13 November 2009 and was released on 16 November 2009 in the UK. Background Following the release of ''Uncle B'' (2008), Tulisa told the '' Daily Star'': "We have just taken a quick break. We're having fun since our return to the studio, and the album is sounding good." She revealed that the group have adopted unusual work patterns while making the new record: "We normally work till 5am - I come alive at midnight, like a vampire." She added that the group had recorded a song called "Shoulda Put Something On", a track about teenage pregnancy, for the album. N-Dubz
N-Dubz are an English hip hop trio from Camden Town, London, consisting of cousins Dappy and Tulisa, and Fazer. After winning a MOBO Award for Best Newcomer in 2007, N-Dubz briefly signed to Polydor Records before joining All Around the World. Released the following year, the trio's debut album ''Uncle B'' was certified double platinum and spawned four UK top-40 singles. In 2009, N-Dubz won Best UK Act at the MOBO Awards and released their second album, '' Against All Odds''. It charted at number six and was certified platinum, preceded by their first top-10 single " I Need You". "Number 1" is a song composed by Tinchy Stryder featuring vocals from Dappy of N-Dubz, and co-written by Dappy, James Lavelle and Fraser T. Smith, who is responsible for the production, from Tinchy Stryder's second studio album, '' Catch 22''. The song was released as a single on 20 April 2009 from Tinchy Stryder's studio album ''Catch 22'' and a remix was later included on N-Dubz's second studio album, '' Against All Odds''. The version released as a single and included on ''Catch 22'' features verses by Dappy and Stryder only; however, the version that appears on ''Against All Odds'' features new verses by Tulisa and Fazer. "Number 1" topped the UK Singles Chart, a position it maintained for three weeks. Jahmaal Noel Fyffe (born 26 November 1990), better known by his stage name Chip (previously Chipmunk), is a British rapper and songwriter from Tottenham, North London. Richard Kylea Cowie Jr. MBE (born 19 January 1979), better known by his stage name Wiley (formerly Wiley Kat), is a British grime MC, rapper, songwriter, DJ and record producer from Bow, London. Benjamin Hudson McIldowie (born 26 June 1979), better known by his stage name Mr Hudson, is an English musician from Birmingham, England.
