Aga Sahib Shrine
Aga Sahib Shrine or Ziyarat e Sarkaar or Aga Mehdi Shrine is a religious place of Kashmiri Muslims located at Budgam. In this shrine there are many religious personalities buried include Ayatullah-ul- Uzma Aga Syed Mehdi Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi Al-Najafi, Aga Syed Ahmad Al-Mosvi Al-Safvi Al-Najafi, Aga Syed Yusuf Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi, Aga Syed Mohammad Fazlullah, Aga Syed Mehdi Mustafa, Aga Syed Mustafa Al-Moosavi and others. This shrine is situated on the of Budgam which is about high. The shrine was constructed by Aga Syed Yousuf himself during his lifetime to honor Sarkar Aga Syed Mehdi Al-Moosavi, who was also Aga Syed Yousuf's grandfather. Budgam (), known as Badgom (; ) in Kashmiri language, Kashmiri, is a town in Budgam district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), Jammu and Kashmir, India. Syed Yousuf Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi (1904 – 29 August 1982) ( ur, آغا سید یوسف الموسوی الصفوی) was a Kashmiri religious scholar and leader of Shia Muslims. He founded the influential Anjuman-e-Sharie organization. Early life Yousuf was born in Budgam in 1322 Hijri. He completed his education in Islamic law from Najaf in Iraq. He is a descendant of Mir Shamsuddin Araki, who came to Kashmir in the 13th century from the town of Arak in Markazi Province, Iran. After the death of his elder brother Aga Syed Ahmed Almosavi, he took over the responsibilities of the Aga family. He established an educational institution for Islamic learning called ''Madras-e Babul Ilem'' ("gateway of knowledge") in Budgam. Madars-e Babul Ilem is the ''Alma mater'' of many in the Kashmir literary field. Aga Syed Mohammad Fazlullah
Aga Syed Mohammad Fazlullah Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi (26 November 1947 – 29 January 2018) was a Kashmiri Shia Scholar and cleric. He was the son of Aga Syed Yusuf Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi, president of Anjuman Sharie Shiyan (B), a member of the World Ahlbayt Assembly and chairman of the Yusuf Memorial Trust. He was the maternal uncle of senior Hurrayat leader and president of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shiyan (A) Aga Syed Hassan Moosavi Budgami, and the elder brother of the member of the Legislative Council (MLC) and former education minister Aga Syed Mehmood Moosavi. Aga Syed Mehdi Mustafa
Aga Syed Mehdi (19 February 1959 – 3 November 2000) was a prominent Kashmiri Shia leader and social activist. He was son of Aga Syed Mustafa Moosavi. He was assassinated in an IED blast on Friday 3 November 2000. Life and education Aga Syed Mehdi was born in Budgam, Kashmir into the prominent Aga family. He studied at Baab-ul-Ilm and subsequently received Maulawi Fazil from Jamia Bab-ul-Ilm, Budgam. He joined Anjuman E Sharie Shian as a member by the age of 22. He rose into prominence among the people for his philanthropic works. Later he joined Indian National Congress and participated in MP elections in 1998.
