Afu-Ra MILF
Aaron Phillip (born January 31, 1974), better known by his stage name Afu-Ra, is an American underground rapper. A member of the Gang Starr Foundation, he has worked closely with its members, including Gang Starr, Jeru the Damaja, Big Shug and Group Home. Career Afu-Ra grew up in Brooklyn, with frequent collaborator Jeru the Damaja. Afu-Ra's first studio appearance was on Jeru's 1994 album ''The Sun Rises in the East'', on the song "Mental Stamina". He made another appearance on Jeru's second album ''Wrath of the Math'', on the track "Physical Stamina", in 1996. Afu's debut single, "Whirlwind Thru Cities", was released in 1998, reaching the top 20 on ''Billboard'''s Hot Rap Singles chart. In 1999, he released his second single, "Defeat" b/w "Mortal Kombat". The Sun Rises In The East
''The Sun Rises in the East'' is the debut album by American hip hop rapper Jeru the Damaja, released May 24, 1994 on Payday Records. Production on the album was handled by DJ Premier. The album features fellow Gang Starr Foundation member Afu-Ra. The album cover depicts the World Trade Center on fire only one year after the 1993 bombing of the North Tower. ''The Sun Rises in the East'' was well received by most music critics upon its release. It is considerably significant in hip hop, as it contributed to the revival of the East Coast hip hop scene, along with albums such as Wu-Tang Clan's ''Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)'' (1993), Nas's ''Illmatic'' (1994), Big L's ''Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous'' (1995), Notorious BIG's ''Ready to Die'' (1994), Onyx's ''Bacdafucup'' (1993), Smif-N-Wessun's '' Dah Shinin'' (1995) and Black Moon's ''Enta da Stage'' (1993). Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums is a music chart published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine that ranks R&B and hip hop albums based on sales in the United States and is compiled by Nielsen SoundScan. The chart debuted as Hot R&B LPs in the issue dated January 30, 1965 in an effort by the magazine to further expand into the field of rhythm and blues music. Ky-Mani Marley (born 26 February 1976) is a Jamaican singer and musician. His name is of East African origin, and means "Adventurous Traveler". He is the only child of Bob Marley with Anita Belnavis, a Jamaican table tennis champion. In 2001, he received a Grammy Award nomination for his album, '' Many More Roads''. Lawrence Muggerud (born January 28, 1968), professionally known by his stage name DJ Muggs, is an American DJ, audio engineer and record producer. He is a member of Cypress Hill, a member of the trip hop band Cross My Heart Hope To Die and the leader of hip hop and art collective Soul Assassins. Christopher Edward Martin (born March 21, 1966), known professionally as DJ Premier (also known as Preemo), is an American record producer and DJ. He is considered one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time.
