''Afternoon'' (styled as ''(a)fternoon'') is the fourth EP by American alternative/indie band Mae. It was released independently on September 24, 2009, in conjunction with ''Mae Presents: Afternoon Tour''. As with their previous releases, it contains songs that will be played in concert in stereoscopic 3D. As of August, Mae updated their website and said, "joining us n tourwill be our new friends in Locksley September 24-October 21, Jenny Owen Youngs October 22-November 8, and Deas Vail. Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". Power Pop
Power pop (also typeset as powerpop) is a form of pop rock based on the early music of bands such as the Who, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds. Tooth & Nail Records is a Christian rock record label founded by Brandon Ebel in California in November 1993. The label later moved to Seattle, Washington where it is situated today. It is home to many well-known musical acts, including Underoath, Hawk Nelson, Emery, The Almost, FM Static, Family Force 5, Anberlin, and MxPx. Tooth & Nail's first album released was Wish for Eden's ''Pet the Fish'', which was produced by Michael Knott and originally slated to be released by Blonde Vinyl. ''Morning'' (styled as ''(m)orning'') is the third Extended play, EP by American Alternative rock, alternative/indie music, indie band Mae. It was released independently on April 19, 2009, in conjunction with Mae Presents: (M)orning tour. It contains songs played in concert in stereoscopic Surround sound, 3D. A limited edition scratch and sniff release of the EP, meant to smell like the ocean, was available only on the tour. The EP was released to stores on September 22, 2009, bundled with a DVD of tour and behind-the-scenes footage. Locksley (band)
Locksley is an indie four-piece pop rock/power pop band from Madison, Wisconsin. They are self-released on their own Feature Records label. Their songwriting is heavily influenced by early British Invasion bands with an instrumental style based more on early American punk bands and modern garage rock groups. The band describe their sound as doo-wop punk. Beginnings, ''Don't Make Me Wait'' (2003–2009) Locksley was formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 2003 by Jesse Laz, Sam Bair, Kai Kennedy and Aaron Collins. They were students at Madison West High School. The band relocated to New York shortly after forming. Their first show was September 10, 2003, at the CBGB Gallery. They recorded a CD of demos in their apartment called ''Safely From the City'', which they self-released in the fall of 2004. Only 1000 copies were ever printed.
