"After You" is a song recorded by Dionne Warwick for her 1979 album '' Dionne'': released as the album's third single in the spring of 1980, "After You" would peak at number 65 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It also reached number 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart. "After You" had first been recorded by Warwick's aunt Cissy Houston in 1978 for her album '' Think It Over'', the song's composers: Doug Frank and Doug James, being staff writers for Love- Zager Productions, which firm produced Houston's album. However Frank and James had written "After You" in hopes of having Barry Manilow record it: receiving a demo of the song from its composers, Manilow—who was producing the ''Dionne'' album—had Warwick record the song. "After You" is the second single released from British singer-songwriter Beverley Knight's fifth studio album, ''Music City Soul''. The radio edit of the song was produced by Pete Vale and has different production and vocals to the original album version, which was produced by Mark Nevers. "After You" is a song by British band Pulp released as a single in January 2013, the first new single by the band in eleven years. Background The song had been originally demoed during early sessions to ''We Love Life'', the band's seventh and last studio album to date. The song wasn't finished and remained unreleased like several other songs from that period. Pulp finally went back to finish the song in late 2012 during their successful comeback 2011-2012 tour. Release "After You" was originally released as free download for those who received a Christmas card at Pulp's hometown show at the Motorpoint Arena on 8 December 2012. The card contained a unique code to give access to a downloadable gift, which was made available after midnight on Christmas Eve. Frances Faye (November 4, 1912 – November 8, 1991) was an American cabaret and show tune singer and pianist. Born to a working-class Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York City, she was a second cousin of actor Danny Kaye. Career Born as Frances Cohen, Faye's showbiz career began at the age of 15 in nightclubs where she first became a star. ''The Love Train'' is the second EP by American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor. It was released on February 8, 2019 by Epic Records. All of the material on the EP was produced by Andrew Wells, Chris Gelbuda, Tyler Johnson and Trainor. Critics described the lyrics as romantic as they were inspired by Trainor's marriage to Daryl Sabara. "All the Ways" was released as a single on February 11, 2019. Trainor described the EP as a predecessor to her then upcoming third major-label studio album, ''Treat Myself''. ''After You'' is the third studio album by English singer-songwriter Jack Peñate, released on 29 November 2019 through XL Recordings. It was Peñate's first album in 10 years, following 2009's ''Everything Is New''. Peñate co-produced the album with Alex Epton, Inflo and Paul Epworth. The album was preceded by the single "Prayer". Background Peñate estimated that in the 10 years between ''Everything Is New'' and ''After You'', he wrote "well over a thousand" songs, telling Apple Music: "I think I've probably done four [albums] where I thought, 'This is it.
