Robert Zemichiel (born 1 August 1977), known professionally as Afrob, is a German rapper and actor. Biography Afrob was born in Venice, Italy to Eritrean parents but moved to Germany at a young age. He grew up in the German city of Stuttgart, which is where he started his rap career. In 1994, Afrob began his rap career as a featured artist for befriended rap crews such as the Massiven Töne, Freundeskreis (FK), and the Spezializtz. Afrob's also gained early fame from his collaboration with Stuttgart Posses such as " Die Kolchose" and " FK Allstars" (et al. with Max Herre, Joy Denalane, Gentleman, and Sékou). It was not until 1999 that he released his first solo album, ''Rolle mit Hip Hop''. ''Rolle mit Hip Hop'' was distributed by Four Music and featured collaborations with the Kolchose, and the album peaked at spot 13 on the German album charts. Samy Sorge (born 19 December 1977), commonly known as Samy Deluxe, Wickeda MC or Sam Semillia, is a German rapper and record producer from Hamburg. Early life Samy was two years old when his Sudanese father left Germany. Samy grew up with his mother's family. His half-sister was born shortly after his father left. The family lived in Barmbek for many years, then moved to Eppendorf, a better-off part of Hamburg. His family was able to make this move after a recommendation from a family friend after his mother remarried. Spezializtz
The Spezializtz are a hip hop duo from Berlin, Germany, consisting of Oliver Harris and Dean Dawson. The duo rose to fame through their first album ''G.B.Z-Oholika'', especially the tracks "Kennst ja!" and "Afrokalypse", which featured Afrob, boosted their success. Although the album didn't have a noteworthy impact on the charts, the rappers toured through Germany, Austria and Switzerland, performing with DJ Tomekk among others. In 1999, the Spezializtz released the single "Nutten" which featured Stuttgart's DJ Thomilla and Hausmarke, and in 2000 the single "T.W.I.N.L.K." ("Tut was Ihr nicht lassen könnt") was a chart hit and subsequently used for several commercials. After a break, the duo celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2005, and plans for future performances and records were made. Maximilian Herre (born 22 April 1973) is a German rapper, singer-songwriter and music producer who rose to fame as a member of the group Freundeskreis. He is also A&R for the record label Nesola, a joint venture with his wife Joy Denalane, among others. Early life and career Herre was born in Stuttgart. After hearing the 1990s German hip-hop group Advanced Chemistry, he decided to create hip-hop himself in German. He started his first band, Seedless Jam, when he was 15, and his first hip-hop project, Agit Jazz, four years later with music producer Philippe A. Kayser (Don Philippe). Joy Maureen Denalane (born 11 June 1973) is a German singer-songwriter, known for her mixture of soul, R&B, and African folk music with lyrics in German and English. Early life Denalane was born in Berlin- Schöneberg to a South African father and a German mother, but grew up in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg. At the age of 16, she left home and focused on her music, joining the reggae and soul bands Culture Roots and Family Affair. Khari Cain (born April 19, 1978), professionally known as Needlz, is an American record producer and songwriter. Early life and career Khari Cain was born on April 19, 1978 in Lansing, Michigan.
