Africa Futsal Cup Of Nations
The Total Africa Futsal Cup of Nations (previously known as the African Futsal Championship) is the main national futsal competition of the Confederation of African Football nations. It was first held in 1996 and has been played every four years. It is a qualification to FIFA Futsal World Cup. On 6 August 2015, the CAF Executive Committee decided to change the name of the tournament from the African Futsal Championship to the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, similar to the football's version, Africa Cup of Nations. Only 3 teams managed to win the cup since its foundation, with Egypt being the most successful team with 3 titles, followed by Morocco with two. Libya has won it once. Morocco National Futsal Team
The Morocco national futsal team, nicknamed ''Ousoud Al Atlas (Lions of the Atlas)'' represents Morocco in international futsal competitions. It is affiliated to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and is one of the strongest teams in The world. The team has notably won the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations title in the last two editions (2016 and 2020) and qualified for the World Cup three times, first appearing in 2012. 2020 Africa Futsal Cup Of Nations
The 2020 Africa Futsal Cup of Nations was the 6th edition of the Africa Futsal Cup of Nations, the quadrennial international futsal championship organised by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the men's national teams of Africa. The tournament was held in Morocco between 28 January – 7 February 2020 (original dates were 17–26 April 2020). Same as previous editions, the tournament acted as the CAF qualifiers for the FIFA Futsal World Cup (except for 2012 when a separate qualifying tournament was organized as the 2011 African Futsal Championship was cancelled).
