Afghan Cricket Team In Ireland In 2018
The Afghanistan cricket team toured Ireland in August 2018 to play three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) matches against the Ireland cricket team. Afghanistan won the T20I series 2–0, after the third match was abandoned due to overnight rain and a wet outfield. Afghanistan won the ODI series 2–1. The second ODI of the series was the 100th to be played by Afghanistan. In the same match, Mohammad Nabi became the first cricketer for Afghanistan to play in 100 ODIs. William Porterfield
William Thomas Stuart Porterfield (born 6 September 1984) is an Irish former cricketer and a former captain of the Ireland cricket team. He played first-class cricket for Gloucestershire and Warwickshire. A left-handed batsman, he played for Ireland from 2006 to 2022, and has captained Ireland at all levels from Under-13 and is considered one of the greatest Irish cricketers of all time. Gulbadin Naib (; born 16 March 1991) is an Afghan cricketer. Naib plays as an all-rounder, and is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm fast-medium. Ihsanullah (born 28 December 1997) is an Afghan cricketer who is a right-handed opening batsmen. Boyd Rankin
William Boyd Rankin (born 5 July 1984) is a Northern Irish former cricketer who played international cricket for Ireland, and briefly also played for England. He is a right-arm medium-fast bowler. Niall John O'Brien (born 8 November 1981) is a former Irish cricketer and a cricket commentator. He is a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper.
