The Aerospace Technology Systems Corporation Sdn Bhd (ATSC), is a Malaysian aerospace company that providing aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) service. Its subsidiary of National Aerospace and Defence Industries Sdn Bhd (NADI) and incorporated by Ministry of Finance (MoF). History The company formed in 1994 under the agreement between Malaysian government and Russian State Corporation Rosvoorouzhenie (presently known as Rosoboronexport), and Moscow Aircraft Production Organisation (MAPO) (presently known as PJSC RAC 'MiG'). ATSC's core business is to support Russian made aircraft in Malaysia especially Malaysian Armed Forces such as Mikoyan MiG-29 and Sukhoi Su-30. RMAF Gong Kedak
RMAF Gong Kedak ( ms, TUDM Gong Kedak) is an air force base operated by the Royal Malaysian Air Force ( ms, Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia). It is located in Gong Kedak, Pasir Puteh District, Kelantan, Malaysia. History The RMAF Gong Kedak existed before World War II where in the early 1960s, this airbase was used by the Royal Air Force for training and then in the 1970s until 1989, the airbase was used by the Malaysian Armed Forces as a training area especially for parachute training. To strengthen national defense, especially the RMAF, the government has decided to develop RMAF Gong Kedak and for this purpose, the government started the land acquisition process for the construction of RMAF Gong Kedak in 1981. RMAF Kuantan Airbase
RMAF Kuantan ( ms, TUDM Kuantan) is an airbase of the Royal Malaysian Air Force ( ms, Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia). It is located in Kuantan, Pahang in Peninsular Malaysia. It shares the runway and other facilities with Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Airport. History RMAF Kuantan was established on 24 June 1968. Its early squadrons consisted of No. 3 Squadron and No. 9 Squadron that flew CL-41G Tebuan jet trainers. In 1985 the CL-41G Tebuans were replaced by Douglas A-4 Skyhawks and BAE Systems Hawks. In 1995, the RMAF received Russian-made Mikoyan MiG-29s, which are based at Kuantan and operated by No. 17 Squadron and No. 19 Squadron. Other than being a base for fixed-wing aircraft, RMAF Kuantan is also a base for helicopters such as the Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King and Eurocopter EC725. The Saturn AL-31 is a family of axial flow turbofan engines, developed by the Lyulka design bureau in the Soviet Union, now NPO Saturn in Russia, originally as a 12.5-tonne (122.6 kN, 27,560 lbf) powerplant for the Sukhoi Su-27 long range air superiority fighter. Sukhoi Su-30MKM
The Sukhoi Su-30MKM (NATO reporting name: Flanker-H) is a supermaneuverable fighter of the Royal Malaysian Air Force. It is a variant of the Su-30 series fighters, with many significant improvements over the original Su-30MK export version. The Su-30MKM was developed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau and is based on the Su-30MKI of the Indian Air Force. Both aircraft have common airframe, thrust vectoring engines and digital fly-by-wire system, however the MKM version differs from the MKI mainly in the composition of the onboard avionics. The Sukhoi Su-30 (russian: Сухой Су-30; NATO reporting name: Flanker-C/G/H) is a twin-engine, two-seat supermaneuverable fighter aircraft developed in the Soviet Union by Russia's Sukhoi Aviation Corporation.
