Aero Comercial Oriente Norte Ltda., doing business as Aerocon, was a Bolivian airline. Its national office was in Hangar 93 in El Trompillo Airport in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. It started its operations in 2005. In 2006, the airline transferred its operational base to Trinidad. It was also called the Airline of Beni Department. It operated from Trinidad to Cobija, Cochabamba, Guayaramerín, La Paz, Riberalta, Santa Cruz, Yacuiba, Sucre, and Tarija but in 2015 it stopped operating due to finance problems and resulting severe security issues. El Trompillo Airport
El Trompillo Airport is located in the south part of Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Santa Cruz, Bolivia, about 2 km (1.25 miles) away from the central plaza. Creation It was created in 1920 with a lane that measured no more than 800 meters (2,624 feet). The airport was given the name of “Captain Horacio Vasquez” honoring a pilot who died in an accident flying from Argentina to La Paz. Nevertheless, because of the location, the airport with time was known as “El Trompillo”. For the first 65 years, it was the only airport in the city, until in 1984 the international airport of Viru Viru was constructed. Since then it has only operated local flights and the landing and departure of students of the Bolivian Air Force. Juan Mendoza Airport ( es, Aeropuerto Juan Mendoza) is an extremely high elevation airport serving the city of Oruro, the capital of the Oruro Department in Bolivia. The airport is in the eastern part of the city, which is in the altiplano of Bolivia. There is distant mountainous terrain east and west of the airport. The Oruro non-directional beacon (Ident: ORU) is located west of the field. The Oruro VOR-DME (Ident: ORU) is located off the displaced threshold of Runway 01. Yacuiba
Yacuiba is a city in southern Bolivia and the capital city of Gran Chaco Province in the Tarija Department. It lies three kilometers from the Argentine border. It has a population of approximately 80,000 and lies above sea level. Yacuiba is one of the cities of fast growth population in Bolivia due to the commerce and boom in hydrocarbon exploitation. It was part of Salta Province of Argentina until its cession to Bolivia in 1900. Due to its position on the frontier, Yacuiba is a major center of commerce. Across the border lies Salvador Mazza, with which it forms a conurbation. The town has direct connections by road with both Tarija and Santa Cruz. It also has an international airport ( BYC). Teniente Jorge Henrich Arauz Airport is an airport serving the city of Trinidad, Bolivia. It is the main airport and gateway to the Bolivian section of the Amazon basin. Tarija
Tarija or San Bernardo de la Frontera de Tarixa is a city in southern Bolivia. Founded in 1574, Tarija is the largest city and capital and municipality within the Tarija Department, with an airport (Capitán Oriel Lea Plaza Airport, (TJA)) offering regular service to primary Bolivian cities, as well as a regional bus terminal with domestic and international connections. Juana Azurduy de Padilla International Airport is an airport located in Sucre, Bolivia, the nation's constitutional capital city. It is currently a base of the Bolivian Air Force and was formerly Sucre's main commercial airport until it was replaced by the Alcantarí Airport. The only runway at Juana Azurduy de Padilla is in length, and at an altitude of . Because of this high altitude, many people who arrived at Sucre via rapid air travel get altitude sickness. The altitude also caused the airport to be excessively cloudy at times, making approach difficult. Rurrenabaque Airport
Rurrenabaque Airport is an airport serving Rurrenabaque, a port city on the Beni River in the Beni Department of Bolivia. The airport is northeast of the city. Runway 14/32 was asphalted in 2010. Before, because of the grass runways, no flights could land or takeoff on a rainy day, and delays were usual in the rainy season (December - April). Rurrenabaque is a small town in the north of Bolivia on the Beni River. It is the capital of Rurrenabaque Municipality. In recent years it has become popular with international tourism as it is an easy gateway for visits to Madidi National Park (within the Bolivian rainforest), as well as the surrounding pampas.
