Adventures In A City That Does Not Exist
''Adventures in a City that does not Exist'' (russian: Приключения в городе, которого нет, Priklucheniya v gorode, kotorogo net) is a 1974 Soviet children's musical film, directorial debut of Leonid Nechayev. Plot Pioneer Slava Kurochkin dreams of space. He actively studies physics and astronomy, but at the same time he does not read fiction at all. By coincidence, he finds himself in a fairytale town, where the heroes of the most famous books live: ''The Snow Queen'', ''Timur and His Squad'', ''The White Solitary Sails'', ''Les Misérables'', ''Treasure Island'' and so on. But, alas, in the city live not only positive characters - treacherous commerce adviser from the play ''The Snow Queen'' (by Evgeny Schwartz) decides to use Slavin's ignorance of books in order to deceive him and with the help of other antagonists to subjugate readers worldwide. Leonid Nechayev
Leonid Alexeyevich Nechayev (russian: Леони́д Алексе́евич Неча́ев; 3 May 1939 – 24 January 2010) was a Russian children's film director.Елена ЮринскаяПапа Лёня: Скончался кинорежиссёр Леонид Нечаев.Российская газета. January 25, 2010. Career Nechayev's career as director was launched in 1974 with a film called ''Adventures in a City that does not Exist''. He was also the creator of the popular musical fairy tales ''About The Little Red Riding Hood'' and '' The Adventures of Buratino''. He was a prolific director at the studio Belarusfilm, where he worked for 17 years and shot 10 films. The Minsk Museum of Cinema has a hall exclusively dedicated to his creative legacy. Death Nechayev died on January 24, 2010, aged 70, following a stroke. Valery Benediktovich Nosik (Валерий Бенедиктович Носик, 9 October 1940, Moscow, USSR, — 4 January 1995, Moscow, Russian Federation) was a Soviet Russian film and stage actor, the People's Artist of Russia (1994) who appeared in more than 100 films, as well as in numerous stage productions at the Moscow Pushkin Drama (1965-1972) and the Maly Theatres (1972-1995). Biography Valery Nosik was born in 1940 to Benedict Nosek, a Pole who in the 1900s came to settle in Ukraine, and 'simplified' his surname by changing a letter. He then married Alexandra Subbotina, a Russian girl from Kashira, and moved to Moscow. Valery's younger brother Vladimir Nosik was born in 1948 (to become later an actor too). As a schoolboy, Valery Nosik attended the Youth Theatre studio based at the ZiL Culture Club, where he was tutored by Sergey Stein. Belarusfilm ( be, Беларусьфільм) is the main film studio of Belarus. History Belarusfilm, under the name ''Belgoskino'' was founded in 1924. In 1928, the ''Soviet Belarus'' studio (''Савецкая Беларусь'') was founded in Leningrad. The studio was moved to Minsk in 1939. Film production was interrupted by World War II, and restarted in 1946, when the studio assumed its current name.
