Adventuredome (formerly Grand Slam Canyon) is a indoor amusement park at Circus Circus in Winchester, Nevada on the Las Vegas Strip. It is owned by Phil Ruffin. It is contained within a large glass dome, and offers various rides and attractions including the Canyon Blaster and El Loco roller coasters, a rock climbing wall, an 18-hole miniature golf course, a video game arcade, and carnival-type games. Because the park is enclosed, it is unaffected by weather, unlike most theme parks, and is open year-round. Every October from 2003 until 2017, the Adventuredome was turned into the Halloween-themed Fright Dome. The theme park opened as Grand Slam Canyon on August 23, 1993, in the west parking lot of the hotel. It sits on a reinforced 18" thick deck elevated above ground. Circus Circus Las Vegas is a hotel and casino located on the northern Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. It is owned and operated by Phil Ruffin. El Loco is a steel roller coaster in the Adventuredome amusement park at the Circus Circus Las Vegas resort. The coaster shares its name with the El Loco roller coaster model which is built by S&S – Sansei Technologies. History El Loco opened on February 18, 2014, as a replacement for the Rim Runner log flume which had been removed in 2013—though El Loco still uses some of the structures of Rim Runner, including the station. Many sources reported that the El Loco at Adventuredome would have a " beyond vertical" first drop, which is typical for El Loco model coasters (some sources reported that the drop would be as steep as 120 degrees). Rim Runner
Rim Runner was an Arrow Dynamics Shoot-the-Chutes located at Adventuredome theme park at Circus Circus Las Vegas and was one of the world's longest and tallest indoor water flume rides with a height of 65 feet and a drop of 60 feet. The ride ceased operation on February 3, 2013 to make way for El Loco which opened in February 2014. Ride layout Riders boarded on the second level of the park. Each boat held up to 15 passengers in three rows of five secured by a single-position lap bar that spanned each row. Once dispatched, conveyor belts moved the boat into the water for The boat slowed as it entered a "lake" area and made a right turn. Canyon Blaster (Adventuredome)
Canyon Blaster is an indoor roller coaster at the Adventuredome theme park in Winchester, Nevada. It features back-to-back vertical loops and corkscrews, and ends with a helix inside the mountain that takes up a large portion of the park. It is proclaimed as the world's largest indoor double-loop, double-corkscrew coaster. It's a copy of the original Python roller coaster in Dutch theme park the Efteling. Canyon Blaster features two six-car trains that seat four passengers in two rows per car. When it originally opened it operated with seven-car trains. In 2001, the trains were re-painted in a dark blue and deep purple heliochrome paint but changed to white and green livery somewhere between 2010 and 2011. A pirate ship is a type of amusement ride based on pirate ships, consisting of an open, seated gondola (usually in the style of a pirate ship) which swings back and forth, subjecting the rider to various levels of angular momentum. A variant where the riders must pull on ropes to swing the ride is known as a swing boat. In the Southwestern United States, Pueblo (capitalized) refers to the Native tribes of Puebloans having fixed-location communities with permanent buildings which also are called pueblos (lowercased).
