Adriano de Jesús Espaillat Rodríguez (; born September 27, 1954) is a Dominican-American politician. He is the U.S. representative for and the first Dominican American and first formerly undocumented immigrant to ever serve in Congress. He previously served in the New York State Senate and the New York State Assembly. Espaillat was a ranking member of the New York Senate Housing, Construction and Community Development Committee and chaired the Senate Latino Caucus. Adriano Rodrigues da Silva (born 8 December 1978), sometimes known as Adriano Cabeça or just Adriano, is a Brazilian football coach and former player who played as a defensive midfielder. Playing career Born in Maceió, Adriano played exclusively in his native state Alagoas during his entire career. After starting his career with , he represented Bom Jesus in the Campeonato Alagoano and joined ASA in 2003, playing for the side in the year's Série C. Adriano Vieira Louzada (born 3 January 1979), known simply as Adriano, is a Brazilian footballer. He spent most of his professional career in Portugal, amassing Primeira Liga totals of 145 matches and 62 goals over seven seasons in representation of Nacional, Porto and Braga and winning five major titles with the second club. Adriano Banchieri (Bologna, 3 September 1568 – Bologna, 1634) was an Italian composer, music theorist, organist and poet of the late Renaissance and early Baroque eras. He founded the Accademia dei Floridi in Bologna. Biography He was born and died in Bologna (then in the Papal States). In 1587 he became a monk of the Benedictine order, taking his vows in 1590, and changing his name to Adriano (from Tommaso). One of his teachers at the monastery was Gioseffo Guami, who had a strong influence on his style. Like Orazio Vecchi he was interested in converting the madrigal to dramatic purposes. Adriano Basso (born 18 April 1975) is a retired Brazilian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently the goalkeeper coach at Sheffield Wednesday. Adriano Panatta (born 9 July 1950) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. He won the French Open in 1976, and was the only player ever to defeat Björn Borg at Roland Garros, doing so on two occasions. Adriano Castellesi (-), also known as Adriano de Castello or Hadrian de Castello, was an Italian cardinal, an English agent in Rome, and a writer. He was born in Corneto, which is today's Tarquinia. He was the child of a modest family. Biography In 1488, Castellesi began a career in papal bureaucracy. After 1489, he would spend most of his diplomatic career in England as the papal collector, which allowed him to generate significant profits. Adriano Sofri (born 1 August 1942) is an Italian intellectual, a journalist and a writer. The former leader of the autonomist movement ''Lotta Continua'' ("Continuous Struggle") in the 1960s, he was arrested in 1988 and sentenced to 22 years of prison, having been found guilty of instigating the murder of police officer Luigi Calabresi. Sofri, and the others comrades convicted with him, have always proclaimed their innocence.
