Giovanni Battista Adriani
Giovanni Battista Adriani (1511 or 15131579) was an Italian historian. Life He was born into a patrician family of Florence. His father, Marcello Virgilio Adriani (died 27 November 1521), was a professor of literature, and served as chancellor of the Republic. Giovanni Battista was secretary to the Republic of Florence. He was among the defenders of the city during the siege of 1530, but subsequently joined the Medici party and was appointed professor of rhetoric at the university. At the instance of Cosimo I he wrote in Italian a contemporary history, spanning from 1536 to 1574, which is generally considered a continuation of Guicciardini chronicles, although the historian Brunet finds this notion erroneous. This Istoria dei suoi tempi' was published in Florence in 1583; a new edition appeared also in Florence in 1872. Götz Adriani (born 21 November 1940 in Stuttgart) is a German art historian. Born as the son of an art historian (Gert Adriani), he studied history of art, archaeology and history at the universities of Munich, Vienna and Tübingen, earning a doctorate in 1964 on the topic of the design of medieval places of sermon. After working for some years as a conservator in Darmstadt, Adriani became the director of the newly founded Kunsthalle in Tübingen, the town of his last alma mater, in 1971. In his more than 30 years at the Kunsthalle (1971 to 2005), he made it one of the most prestigious museums, especially for modern and contemporary art, in Germany. Jerry Adriani (Jair Alves de Sousa; 29 January 1947 – 23 April 2017) was a Brazilian singer, musician and actor. He began his career in television while working with Rede Tupi in São Paulo. His early work included his time as vocalist with the ensemble '' Os Rebeldes''. Nicolaus Adriani (15 September 1865, Oud-Loosdrecht – 5 August 1926, Poso, Central Sulawesi) was a Christian missionary from the Netherlands who did work in Indonesia.
