Adrian Anca
Adrian Gheorghe Anca (born 27 March 1976) is a former Romanian football striker and manager. Career Anca began playing football professionally for IS Campia Turzii in the Romanian second league. He later made his debut in the Romanian first league with Gloria Bistriţa. During the summer of 2003, Anca was traded to CFR Cluj, where he quickly became the team's top goalscorer, as well as the fan-favorite. In the summer of 2005, Anca helped CFR Cluj reach the 2005 Intertoto Cup final by scoring 5 goals in 10 matches in the campaign. In the summer of 2008, he joined the Romanian club Oţelul Galaţi but after only two months he cancelled his contract and signed with Gloria Bistriţa to be closer to his wife who was about the give birth. In February 2010 he signed with Luceafărul Oradea, a Liga III club. He was an assistant coach besides him playing for the club. Diosig
Diosig ( hu, Bihardiószeg) is a commune in Bihor County, Crișana, Romania with a population of 6,816 people. It is composed of two villages, Diosig and Ianca (''Jankafalva''). The commune is located in the northwestern part of the county, on the banks of the river Ier. Diosig lies on the border with Hungary, north of the county seat, Oradea. It is crossed by national road , which runs from Oradea to the cities of Carei, Satu Mare, and Sighetu Marmației to the northeast. At the 2002 census, 56.5% of inhabitants were Hungarians, 32.6% Romanians and 10.7% Roma. 53.4% were Reformed, 27.7% Romanian Orthodox, 8.2% Roman Catholic, 4.9% Pentecostal, 2.2% Seventh-Day Adventist and 1.5% Baptist. 2007–08 Liga I
The 2007–08 Liga I was the ninety season of Liga I, the top-level football league of Romania. Season began on 27 July 2007 and ended on 7 May 2008. CFR Cluj became champions, winning their first trophy and ending a 17-year-long reign of Bucharest based teams. CFR Cluj will play in the Champions League group stage, while Steaua București qualified for the Champions League third qualifying round. Rapid București, Dinamo București, Unirea Urziceni and Politehnica Știința Timișoara qualified for the UEFA Cup first round. The highest placed team that has not qualified for the UEFA Cup is allowed the opportunity to compete in the third round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup, provided they have applied to enter the Intertoto Cup in the next season. UEFA Intertoto Cup
The UEFA Intertoto Cup (from la, Inter, 'between' + german: toto, 'betting pool'),Most precisely, from (football pool); cf. often abbreviated and more known in the German-speaking world as UI Cup and originally called the International Football Cup, was a summer football competition. The competition was discontinued after the 2008 tournament. Teams who originally would have entered the Intertoto Cup now directly enter the qualifying stages of the UEFA Europa League from this point. The tournament was founded in 1961–62, but was only taken over by UEFA in 1995. Initially, the tournament ended with a single champion, who received the Intertoto Cup. Starting in 1967, the tournament ended with a number of group winners (7 to 14 winners, see below), who received cash prizes.
